A store owner was giving out free lego but everyone thought he was nuts and didnt accept it because they thought it was a trick, anyways. I already had a order in place at his store and he put the grand total to $0.00And how did you get a free BL order?
So yeah. it was one of those things where you had to be at the right place at the right time.

I got 8,061 2x4s for free.
2,974 classic light grey
2,470 black
1,948 classic dark grey
409 white
188 green
72 blue
with LEGO's old S@H bulk pricing (I dunno if it's changed, doubt it has), $6.99 gets you 50 2x4s.
So mathematically speaking I got $1,126.93 (retail) worth of bricks for free.
Well, not so much for 'free', I did do an hour's work for them, but I was willing to do the work for no compensation anyway (not that I minded )

I also received 1,251 red and yellow plates to finish Formeathan v2.0 from Troy. Granted they were used (some very used), but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth
I've received quite a few other free LEGO bits over the years, but I'm not sure they'd want me to name names.

Well, kinda sorta. I didn't so much as find free LEGO as provided it. I bought a whole bunch of the Star Wars minis for a good price and gave half of them away ("for free") to Toys for Tots. It is better to give than receive.

Hello!
I got this for free from a good friend who just wanted to build a Castle once and after he had done this didn't need the bricks anymore:
That was after I had built my Castle Falckenstein. I guess my amount of light grey bricks was more than doubled through this gift. (It's still far less than some collectors have.)
Bye

This is just the sort of nonsense up with which I will not put.

I agree.
I suppose the closest thing to free was a few years back when for a end of school present, my parents gave my four ice creem pails of used Lego that they had found. It was a pity that I had to split it with my 6 sibblings.

I build, therefore I am.
