Ever created an entire Lego Castle army?

Post by The Brick Lord »

Has anyone ever created a realistic Lego medeival army, with authentic minifigs and about 25-plus soldiers?

I don't have pictures, but I have an army of 50 spearmen in Black Falcon colors (not actual Falcons, just plain blue torsos). I have 50 bows and quivers awaiting minifigs to use them as well.

It depends on what your definition of "realistic" is (and peeking down at the elf army, some people have a very loose definition, indeed! :D ). But certainly many have put together some very large armies, usually arranged along "faction" lines (LEGO pseudo-heraldic devices, such as Black Falcons, Dragon Masters, etc.).

Oh yeah, many have created realistic medieval lego armies. Here is mine:

I used two factions in this one, Black Falcon and Black Knights. Ofcoarse there are really huge armies out there, mine are actually small compared to some.

Yeah, i've created a "realistic" army. Mines pretty small, only about 61 right now, but i'm working on it. and also in order to be realistic, you have to consider elves realistic. My faction is Anthony's Elves of the Slyvian moon. But really mine might not be so realistic, since i group my units in squads of five.... Five longbowmen, five shortbowmen, and such. A real army would have way larger squadrens, and then each squad is grouped under a bigger category....i.e. Infantry, Calvary, Artilery, Navy, Magery....

Heres some pics:

p.s. When i was trying to get to my army pics, brickshelf was down..... i just wanted to state that.

I am working on my armies right now. I am using the Dragon Castle Guards figures (I have about 24 so far) for part of an evil army and I have various factions in the two armies. I am picking up stuff like mad though so I can outfit them all and make them combat ready.

Just a side note: Does anybody live in AZ?

Here's a couple of mine:

I have more figs in both of these armies now. I also have 30 forestmen, 25 or so Crusaders, and about 30 Bulls set up but haven't taken pics of them yet.
