Post by erikut »

I bet you got something huge you want to build in lego. the most spectacular thing you could ever imagine. The oone thing that never stops tormenting you until you make it.

Interesting topic.

For myself I think that the only thing that has ever tomented me, per-say, is detail. I can make MOCs, I can build it so it stands and works, but I somewhat lack artistic ablity, or so I think. Like when I build I castle, I have walls and towers and guys, but thats it. I lack inspiration to give detail to the rooms. To give a cool look to the walls other than your generic, wall, wall, wall, wall, roof. Its something that I try to work on. CC has definately helped me to get more detail.

Dan
I build, therefore I am.

The only thing that torments my lego building is......
I am great at building structures & decorating the outside of Moc's but Im definitely lacking when it comes to interior design & decoration. Im improving though!

And if there was one thing I could make out of Lego's, it would be either the fortress of Krak Des Chevaliers or the fortress of Margat which reside in Syria & Lebanon respectively.

Amen!

But Neuschwanstein (with decent landscape) would be the best. Neuschwanstein is the most beautiful and romantic structure ever built by man...

a complete Norman keep, about five stories high with every room in a real castle to scale in my minifig castle. I figure it would take about ten times the grey bricks I have now to do it the way I would want to...

What about the Bailey? A Castle is nothing without an outer wall!!

Laugh at me if you will, but I'd love to build a full-scale version of Castle Kotir, the wildcat fortress from the Redwall series.

For me, it's actually finishing my Tolkien project. After that, I've already got several othe major stories I'd like to do (probably a western first up).
