Do you mean in modern day, or back in time? I would pass if I had to live in a Castle way back when, but I would love to live in a Castle today. I think Castle living in Medieval times would be fun for about a day, and then after that I would wouln't be too fond of it anymore.

Recently I watched a documentary on castles on the history channel I think. The learn-ed gentleman who was hosting the show (who seemed terribly well informed) stated that medieval castles were actually quite comfortable. He went on to illustrate that many people have this image of a castle as a cold, maybe damp, uncomfortable stone place.
He said that in fact there were plaster walls on the inside, and tapestries to help keep in the warmth. Thick carpets. Soft padded chairs. Of course you may have a drafty garderobe, but still you can't have everything...
Anyway - to answer.
Yes I would - now or then it wouldnt matter. I would in a heartbeat.

Yes, I do have one. :)
Unfortunately, its too small for anyone to live in.

I would not live in a castle. Imagine how much work you need to do spring cleaning.
Anyway, I love my house. It may not be a castle but it is warm and cosy. :D

Thanks. 8)

Absolutely !

I'd like to live in a castle. I plan to construct my house like a small castle one day. It's in my dreams. But I think I'll make it one day ! :D

My answer? Yes, of course, or I'd at least try it for a while.

And do any of you think that castles would have been built
to purposely be uncomfortable? Of course not! With the
climate and lack of technology(central air), they would have
done anything and everything possible to make it as
comfortable as they could. Besides, they could afford it.

This is like the perceived view on armour. To think that
armour would have been made to be sooo heavy that a
knight needed help getting on his horse. Not likely.
These were people who had to fight for thier lives wearing
these "tin cans", so why make them cumbersome?

It's like believing that medievel life was made harsh by
the people themselves. Of course you wouldn't want
to be the local gong farmer, but someone has to do it.

The reason I wouldn't want to in the past is not really because of comfort, but more of just being in that period of time. I quite like my TV, Computer, and my Lego ;)

Well...you do have a point there. At least with the Lego
and the computer.

I would imagine that there would be PLENTY to keep you
busy if you were in the castle.

If I had enough peasants to do all the dirty work, sure! :D
