Forum Font Size

Post by gerkenz »

Hi,

how about a bigger size for the smallest fonts ?

at a screen-resolution of 1280 x 1024 I can hardly read these "little cryptic signs".

Kai,

Can you please be a bit more specific about which text you are referring to, as in where it is located. I run my monitor at 1600 x 1200 and do not have any problems.

Also, what browser are you using? For some reason the Cascading Style Sheets display differently in different browsers. I've tested in IE 6 and Mozilla 1.2.1 so far.

I'm running Mozilla 1.4 on a Mac G4 Powerbook running OSX, with a monitor resolution of 1280x854, and I also am squinting at the text. The text of actual messages is pretty small, and the box of text under the authors name (where it says when they joined and how many posts, etc) is so small as to be almost unreadable.

Is this an issue with my browser's settings (though Lugnet and FBTB show up fine)? Or is an issue with classic-castle.com?

I think the issue is running a resolution of 1280x854 on a notebook. :)
Unless you have a 19"screen on it, which I think is probably not the case.

The issue is with the Cascading style sheets. For some reason the text does come out smaller when using Mozilla. I don't know if mozilla is just rendering it smaller than it should be, or if IE is rendering it larger than it should be.

I had already gone through and increased the sizes so that they were readable on *MY* system and a couple other testers that I asked about it. Apparently it wasn't enough for all instances. When I get a moment, I will adjust them some more.

In the mean time, Mozilla does have a feature for changing the text size, go to View | Text Zoom and change it to 120%. A temporary fix, but it will work until I have time to redo the CSS.

Hey,

Thanks for the tip on Mozilla, Troy. I switched to this browser fairly recently, and I still haven't figured out all the features.

small font

Post by gerkenz »

I'm using opera and mozilla - and both have the same results:

The text of actual messages is pretty small, and the box of text under the authors name (where it says when they joined and how many posts, etc) is so small as to be almost unreadable.

All other forum's are working fine...hope you'll fix this soon - you don't save much place with such a small font I think. :)

Greetings...

Hey Kai,

When you log in, just hit "command plus" a couple of times and in mozilla it will blow up the type size.
