It's the new Vladek shield, he had one like that in his fortress, too  .

I don't care for either set much. I think they could each make decent parts packs, but the designes are TOO unrealistic. I know, I know, they say these are children's toys and that playability outweighs realistic design and blah blah blah. But, just because they strive for playability doesn't mean that some logic and realism can't be applied to newer sets. They did it in my day. The "fortress" has a wall that has a huge gaping hole in it (http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rogue ... g_0634.jpg)!! What's that all about?? Not gonna keep out too many intruders with design like that. Not to mention the bottom/base structure (where the BURPs are)...I have no idea what that's supposed to be :?

I thought these were only available in EU? If they are in the US, then where are they or when will they be out in stores?
Why do you need all those minifigs? You'll poke your eye out!

the small village New Paris? No, I dont think that exist, since the US are still pissed off since the french gave them the statue of liberty... To their shock it turned green! (j/k)

This set may appear a little later, and perhaps in certain stores. Apparently its like the Attack tower and Talonjay last year.

I hope this set comes the US in a decent amount of time - I think it's a nice little set that can be pretty good for pieces. :-)

Well, I just picked up my sets! They're a TRU exclusive set, and come wrapped in plastic, both of the sets available only with each other (you cannot buy only the wall). Here's my brief review:

Vladek Wall: Cool shadow knight and vladek, lots of dark red, and I kinda dig the wall parts printed with the stone pattern. But, sheesh, could they have packed any more burps in that small of a little castle? Its still kinda cool.

Battle Barge: Two knights come with a dark green and dark tan helmet, crotch, and hands (good for us cannibals). Its a mostly brick built set, which was cool. It does really speak of the old style legos. The catapult thing is great if you use a 1x1 round instead of the domes they give you.

Oh yeah, I'm in the US, so I don't see why they wouldn't be available in other US cities. Check your TRUs!

No TRU's in NY :-(. Still, I thought they would be somewhere around here... a Toy's-R-Us or something. Ah well, just a matter of time. Nice reviews, it's good to hear that the quality of the boat is high.

If they do, that'd be cool! :D

The Brickshelf link that was found was posted by some one who posts on Eurobricks, if anyone would like I can ask the person who posted it if it can attach to the Vladeks Fortress

It was $40 for the two sets.

There were no pieces for the set to connect to another set, however, I see no reason that it could not be modified to do so.

No, but the fact that A) It's up on a second floor and B) has a crenelated (sp?) wall around the balcony it leads to might ... :D

Of course, if you'r not referring to the arch I can only assume that you refer to the little gap betweeb the URP and the support.

I like the looks of both these. Anybody notice Vladek has his own little sailboat? 8)
Kind of interesting how this series seems to highlight the good guys on the attack and Vladek defending all of the time.
Obviously they're pursuing him after he fled at the end of Series I... they're clearly not going to let that happen again.

Looks like Vladek's little castle wasn't designed to good. :(

Oh well, It looks better than the scorpian prisoner cage. Man that set was way to overpriced.

It was like a giant burp! TLG never used to use burps this much. :(
