Breach at Talonjay

Post by eNiGMa »

I've been tossing around this idea for about a month now, and finally got around to building it Saturday night. Many of us may notice that lots of people do battle scenes; but what about the aftermath?

Years after his failure to break into Talonjay, Vladek focused on a new entrance--the side gate. The Shadows struck swiftly and silently in the night, forcing themselves through the double-doors and throwing down all opposition.

Santis was alerted to this threat by an unkown messenger, but it was too late.

With Vladek's armies already deep into Talonjay, the dead had to be burried shallow and quickly.

Thus began the war for Talonjay.

That is a pretty good idea along with a pretty good MOC.

I'd like it more if it didnt include the KK2, but that is a personal opinion.

This is a good idea that I've thought of doing from time to time also. Your pics are good - captures a real grim/sombre mood while the figs all go about their business... nice shot of Santis at Jaykos grave too - kind of effective, actually.

My only other advise... more dead figs! Since the battle was a really big one, I would suggest more carnage... battle carnage always looks cool anyway (in a LEGO WORLD, that is  ).

Great MOC! I really like the decapitated head in the well. Nice touch. Also, I really like that someone killed one of the Power Ranger Knights. If only they had killed the red one as well :P Only problem with the standard smiley head is that it makes all the soldiers look waaay too happy to be dead.

Again, great MOC.

Thanks for your comments! As always, they are much appreciated.

I'm not a particular fan of KK2 either, but I thought it would be interesting to see how they look with the classic figs. I think they look pretty good, to an extent.

I got that idea from the 6094 Guarded Treasury. As for the story, thanks for the compliment. I'm still deciding whether or not I want to go on with it, though, as I am already working on a vignette series and school work.

Good suggestion. I like Lego carnage, too, but I didn't want to clutter up the pictures with too many dead people. Maybe sometime in the future I'll work more on that....

Think of it as happiness to be at rest. :P Actually, I've always seen the classic smiley as sort of a blank expression, the kind with those dead eyes just looking up at you. Creepy, in a way....

Thanks! I never thought I had much at all, so I ordered a bunch of trees for this project. I ended up with five extra. :D

Thanks again, everyone, for your comments!

Good moc man!

A little violent to be sure, but more dead minifigs are needed!!!! The wall could use a tower or something to spice it up, but that's just me.

Good job.

for the size of the MOC it has a more than fair amount of detail to it. It would be awesome to see it enlarged to encompass more detail but the job you did on this is excellent. Ans the story is cool and has got me thinking.

Do you play BRIKWARS!!!
As others said, more casualties. This wasn't a one man duel, was it
The Santis scene is very believable. People do that in real life.
The shadowknights in the sand pit remind me of the Battle of Bywater from the Lord of the Rings, when the hobbits buried the dead in a sand pit that was afterward called the Battle Pit.
I don't think there'd be that much blood in a well, but that's just my opinion.

Good MOC! :D I like all the pics, and I think you should turn this into a story.

great job! I think you should make a scene/vignette about the heroic fall of Jayko, or do something that involves a story.

I think you should make a vig about the fall of the coward, begging Jayko, and how Vladek made a favour to the world.

That's one of the greatest games ever conceived by the human mind! I normally just play the wussified version (Quikwars), but even that is amazing. Speaking of brikwars, I haven't checked that site in ages.... *gets up*

That's actually a really good idea, and I'm seriously thinking of doing it. Thanks for the idea!

I really liked this MOC. I think the idea of "battle aftermath" is an interesting concept to explore. It would be interesting to see a larger scale MOC based on the concept, with a castle or keep having some damage on it while dead soldiers await their burial.

Good job.
