It amazes me how many times a set re-review comes up and I see that I never posted my initial opinion the first time! Sloppy sloppy on my part... especially for this wonderful little set.

I've always liked the idea of a little checkpoint or "guard" post settled out somewhere on a trail towards the castle, and this set can be used as something other than that as well. For example, you could add set to the "Knight's Challenge" in order to give the Falcons a presence at the joust, or whatever else you wish.

A great value, two figs, fair amount of weapons, and I always liked the white walls with the cool red top.

Cool set. Small and therefore cheap. Nice army builder and my favourite torso. And the helmet is also one of the best disigned helmets Lego has ever prodused in my opinion.
I wish I had more than many of this set, but I don`t even own one!.

I absolutley love this set!!! I have one and just as every one has stated before it does add a great splash of color to any castle scene.

When I first saw this set (as a secondary buy, I was too young to buy it when it was produced) I did think the red canopy was strange in a BF set, and yellow or blue would have been better. But the red has grown on me and it does work very well with the knight's castle.

Unlike many folks here I never really thought of this set as an addition to a joust scene. I always saw it as like a guard shack, a shelter for guards just outside the castle, or perhaps jsut outside the village. It would be great alongside the 6060 joust though (which I have as well).

Overal a great small set, black feathers and white flags are always great! I wish they weren't so expensive nowdays, I would like to have more. If TLG were to produece them again I would deffinately have to pick up a bunch of them.

In Christ,
Chris

Parts wise this is a great little set. A black feather, two great guys, ect.

The design is peculiar. It has some rarely seen, semi-realistic things. The little watchamacallit that the falcon soldier is residing in is something we would never see in the fantasy KK2.

All in all, a set a really would not mind having.

Nice set, wish I had it for the red octagon and the black feather(s)

(of course, more Black Falcons are always nice too)

For a black Knight, I prefer a red saddle on a black horse. Its a nice contrast.

With the kit pieces I would just put the blue flag on the lance so that it matched the saddle, and would be happy with that.

You can find the instructions at www.peeron.com. Just type in the set number and/or name, and the instructions will come up, as well as a listing of every piece you'll need (and the number of each piece) to make this set.

It is possible and somewhat easy to get all the parts you need from bricklink to make this set.

I remember buying this one from a LEGO shop in 1993 on a very low price. Luckily my Dad had some quite long meeting and left wanderring around the stores.
I really value the black feathers a lot and two BF warriors make a fine addition to any army.

So, on my behalf it is:
Parts: 9/10
Figs:9.5/10
Price vs. value: 10/10

Umm...this is the only one that does. Here is a list of the Black falcon sets (minus the Legends release of BFF). If you look at all of them, there is only one set that comes with one falcon soldier and a "mounted dude".

I don’t actually own this set, and it is definitely one I would have liked to own. I would like several of them. I really like the use of the red, it definitely adds colour to a usually drab castle setting (lots of grey). I also like the fact that it is a Black Falcons set, as you can never have too many Black Falcons in your collection.
