Bought 10 of these, none at huge discount, most off was 20%.

For the horse and the barding, to go with my army of over 100 shadow knight foot soldiers.

I hate that purple Danju! I am not fond of the white pieces use for the catapult (brown (reddish brown) would have made this set more useful) The LG slopes were useful. The only reason I did not get more was the purple knight, white pieces and...price. Retail at almost $13 Canadian.

Now if this set was Vladek and 2-3 shadow knights..... :D

Not a bad little set. I like the barding, horse armor, and the two armors...not a whole lot else to say that hasn't been said. My only two beefs are the price and no shield for Vladek. However, some of these came with sticker sheets and some with printed shields. If you got the sticker sheets, then you could have made a scorpion shield. Anyway, I like it and would have bought more if the price had been lower...as it was, I bought two. :)

I have nothing nice to say about this one  !

I purchased two of these when KKII first hit shelves. Honestly, at $12.99 Canadian (plus 15% tax), this thing is obscenely overpriced! You get Vladek (who is ok for parts), and Danju (who is all but useless). This is even more insulting when you consider that sets like 7015 list at a far more reasonable $5.99! I simply can't understand this price. Heck, even the fireball catapult, 8873, with its superior assortment of bricks and minifigs lists for less ($10 Cdn.)!

43 pieces should not be sold for $13 Cdn. (roughly $10.50 US). In short, 1 Knight & Horse + 1 Jellybean =/= $12.99 + tax!

0/10

Slightly over-priced, but PRICE is not a part of the criteria by which I judge sets here- just the criteria by which I buy them.

That said, this is an awesome little parts pack, with the cheap barding, the Vladek fig- and the Danju fig.

And yes, I like the Danju fig. The armour and visor not TOO much, but I like the colour purple, and this is probably the best source of purple figs for future use...

The catapult, needless to say, is pointlessly added parts.

Parts: 5/10
Playability: 8/10
Figs/Accessories: 7/10
Design (then): 6/10
Design (now): 5.5/10
Nostalgia: 5.5/10

Overall Score: 6.17/10

If you are for using KK2 pieces, this is a very nice army builder/piece supplier. You get a mounted Vladek (with a rather nice barding), a Danju and (sigh) a catapultthingy. The only real con apart from the price is the lack of a shield for Vladek. But if it came with it, where would you put the sword?

Oh look! It's the adventures of Mr Stupid Designer Purpleknight and his enemy Toobigforhisheaddarkhelmetman

As most of you know I hate KK2!!!!
Would someone please kill this faction's designer?! Ok, not really but this set is way too expensive and it includes TOO FEW STUFF!

What has Lego come to lately? The prices are ridiculously high and they don't even make it worth your money by, say putting stuff in the boxes that we may want to pay too much for!

Although, I can't seem to see how one knight can hold off Helmettoobigforhisheadman with a catapault that only works if the enemy is FAR AWAY!

parts: not bad, needs more
playability: farely well for a little kid
price: ridiculous!

then again, a horse w/barding, a catapult, a humongous helmet that looks really stupid cause it's too big (Vladek's), purple :? euro armor and a descent looking helmet isn't really that bad for 10 bucks.
Beware the day my soul is unleashed. Not even Megablocks itself will rival its fire!

Lord Nev, calm down. KK2 is not likely to go away whether you like it or not. Most of us have accepted that and made the best of it. I'm not saying you have to, but I am saying that you are flogging a dead horse. We all know that KK2 is nothing like the old castle stuff, but we also know that it is the best we can get. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but this is a bit much.

I'm neither admin or mod, but I am suggesting to calm down about this or risk being smited. (Trust me, it can hurt)

I can understand your feelings Lord Nev, but try to keep the emoticon count down to a reasonable measure... all those faces in a row can be a bit of an eyesore. :-)

That said, I do somewhat agree with you, but I was also happy to get this set because it was a cheap way to get 2 figs (Danju was not as easy to collect en mass as the others), and a horse with the barding.

Actually, this is not a bad small set - it would just be nice if LEGO would include something... anything other than a catapult with the few bricks the include... maybe a jousting dummy or something. Oh well, I like this for the price, and I wish I bought one or two more than I did.

Lord Nev , calm down.
Now, how many times have I saved a topic from being locked with something on topic ?
Not really j/k but oh well.

I bougt two of these, and seeing I only had two euro armors, I liked it(vladek's armor is either painted gold, stickered or painted all black, danju's helmet is painted black).
Bought it for 8.90eur. at Lego clothes shop( and they have ridiculously high prices).

P.S.-If you are going to comment something off topic, comment something in topic.

3 posts saying calm down... can we get on with reveiwing and not calming down please?

just a suggestion

anyway i think that there is a lack of horses appearing, the cheapest thing to get horses is this set, (EDIT and fireball catapult) but other than that you have to spend at least £30 on something like scorpion prison cave to get one.
so id say 8/10

I don't think anyone knows the answer for sure, but some of these sets did come with sticker sheets. The shield was blank and the sheets had five stickers on them...one for each KK2 knight. Maybe Lego was going to do this in all the sets, or they had a problem with printing on the new shields? I have no idea...
