Hey, I have finally gotten around to posting some of my MOCs on brickshelf, please take a look and let me know what you think. Any criticism is welcome and encouraged!

Note: I have since edited the gatetower to have two technic pin holes, to actually fit the CCC standard.

I like alot of the MOCs, but I wanna asked a few questions about the armies. 1)How the heck did you get all those mini-figs? 2)Did you make some of those body stickers?

Hey Chris,

I don't think I've every commented on this one before, but the old wall is a really clever idea and very well done. As others have commented in the other thread, I really like the gray/blue color scheme in the tower bridge and the gatehouse. My favorite individual detail is the bed in the tudor house, which has a very simple but effective design.

Hey! To answer the bulk of figs came from saving up to go on an ebay spree. I bought most of them in a bit larger lots as they tend to be better deals (althoguh more expensive as a lot). I work all summer ina wildland firefighting job and then go to school, so saving is HUGE here. I don't use custom stickers or anything like that. I'm not sure what sticker you are talking about. The only one I can think of is the old knight with the white on red cross. It is actually an old lego-made sticker. Suprisingly he came in a bulk 'castle' lot, you can only imagine my excitment to see him just laying on top in all his classic glory!

So far this strategy has paid off for me. But be wary of some sellers. I always check thier feedback (or at least the percentage) and remember to factor in the shipping cost, some sellers make the most money on 'shipping/handling' costs.

Anyways, thanks Bruce, it's always great to hear from you. As far as the bed goes, I must admit it's not an original design idea. I first saw it in Jon Furman's Prancing Pony MOC. (visible in this pic http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=148050)

The Old Wall is what really leaps out to me. I always like 'grounded scenes' and this one is really nice. The degree of brick connections also comes off well.

I like how you have a variety of themes in your collection. Town, Castle, and etc.

The Tudor house is good and I especially like The Old Wall.Now what does that mean do the sellers charge extra S/H?

Some sellers charge alot more than what it costs to mail the package, in order to gain a larger profit.

Hi wunztwice,

The old wall is a great idea, and the fact that the proper ammount of bricks are on the ground, makes it that much better. Looks ancient, realistic.

Your brickshelf gallery is a treat to browse. I've noticed there's two kinds of LEGO fans, the army builder, and brick maniac. You're pretty much inbetween.
