X-Men Minifigs

Post by Dunechaser »

I'm not sure there are any X-Men fans here on C-C, but I put these together last night:

And here's Magneto:

I'm quite happy with Wolverine, Professor X, and Magneto, but I kind of think of the rest as, well "the rest" -- not much to them in these versions. :?

Let me know what you think!

Cool figs, especially Wolverine and Prof.X! One question though, is that blonde guy Gambit? :)

As I said on your blog, that vampire hair works perfectly for Wolverine. Great work!

I'm an X-men fan and these are cool. Wolverine is definitely the best, but the rest are good too. One problem did jump out at me though. Rogue doesn't have gloves on. So unless she is about to steal someone's power, you better get gloves on her quick! :)

It's weird, how much that hair fits him - it's like TLC planned it that way.

The figs are great. The Shadow Knight helm works well for Magneto, but where did his torso come from?

Very nice figs. I just watched the movies for the first time recently, and really liked them.
Like others have said, Wolverine is definitely the best. I also Cyclops and Prof. X.
Rouge looks pretty good, but I don't really like the face you used, IMO, I don't think it fits her very well.
Keep up the good work! :)

Pretty good, but... where is Gambit? The wavy hair would work best for him, in that earth orange color if you have it.

Or is it that you're making movie versions of characters only, and therefore we have no gambit? That opens up the question..... where is Curt? Nightcrawler, that is.

I can't do much but echo all the folks who said good work! I would have to agree with you, those three are the best, but some of the others arn't too bad either. That KK2 helm works great for Magneto. I think you did an excellent job picking out torsos for all of these guys. Keep it up!

Yeah, these are basically the movie versions, thus no Gambit, but I couldn't find a decent head to make Nightcrawler, so no Curt either. And yup, that's an Imperial Shuttle pilot's torso.

Someone on Flickr pointed out my oversight for Rogue's hands. D'oh! I'll play around with other heads to see if there's a better one. Either way, I'll fix her and repost, but I've already taken everyone apart, so no new group shot.

Can't wait for the movie (though I'm a bit apprehensive; not a big fan of Rush Hour).

Huge X-fan. Too bad Cyclops' glasses aren't ruby-colored. I had the same thoughts about the Wolverine (aka CountB) :P hairpiece. Perhaps you could do a 'Days of Future Past' MOC? :D Great work!!

Very good work! They do remind alot of the movie versions, Professor X looks just like Patrick Stewart in some mysterious way.

What I liked about the movies are that theyre clothes are not the rubbersuits, which would look more comical than cool on actors (it only works in comics). More down-to-earth.
Interesting that you made Storm yellow, it makes her rather hard to recognize though.
As for Wolverine, I think that an actual normal smilie would do him justice, I tested it myself and felt it looked like he had the trademark sideburns.

Great job!
