Fort Okanogan was an early-19th-century fur-trading outpost in the Pacific northwest.
I wanted to build a palisade fort, and found some good illustrations and plans for this one.

I haven't decided how to populate it yet. To be historical I should fill it with natives, officers of trading companies, and the U.S. Army (ie, Union blue soldiers from the Western LEGO theme), but I have a blue samurai army waiting for a home...
This is mostly a tease. It's not populated or furnished, and I don't have close-ups of individual buildings.
PS. I posted this here because I used the CCC Standard to build it, but there isn't a forum for non-medieval CCC-Standard buildings.

Hey,
It looks really cool. As to occupants, I'd say go with more accurately historical figs as I haven't seen many MOCs along these lines. Check out this ISCC entry by Chris Paton:

Those guys would fit perfectly as a party of trappers who come to trade at the fort. Throw in some cavalry and native americans and you've got a bustling frontier outpost.
Along these lines, it would be cool to try and recreate Lewis and Clark's expedition as a MOC. I read "Undaunted Courage" and it was a really interesting book.
