"I beg to differ, from what I know VDF has a decent interior"- Fry_Slayer
Who said anything about the interior?

-.- I will explain once...xbloodyfangs wrote: Who said anything about the interior?

Then I saidAt least it's not just a giant wall, like Vladeks Dark Fortress.
Which is meant to be saying: VDF might be more than just a wall, but i dont own the set so i am not sure. From what i saw before in reviews it has a ceratin interior and a workable chain draw bridge (which are revealed by NinthCircle to be some what sloppy in quality, but that is another totally different matter). The issue of interior is brought up as my point of view as "certainly VDF is more than just a giant wall".I beg to differ, from what I know VDF has a decent interior

And a bad drawbridge and an "ok" interior makes it a whole lot better?

No but simply it shows that it is more than "just a giant wall" which is ur statement. And a bad drawbridge and an "ok" interior makes it a whole lot better?
Just a Giant wall (is not equal to) Giant wall with chain drawbridge and interior
(regardless of sloppiness or not, which 8781 doesnt even have to begin with)
Same goes 8781 = bad set
doesn't mean 8781 = worthless < $5
Surely u can grasp the simple logic?
We better stop before the templars shows up....

Please keep discussion only the reviewed set and not to other sets like VDF. Thank you.
My review: As much as I dislike Castle of Morcia for being a poor remake of 6091 King Leo's Castle, there are a few things I like. This set has a great selection of hard to find bley slopes. It is a great way to build up your collection for castle building. I also like the king's barding, shadow knight, and banners.
Certain things bother me. These include the dual side good guy and bad guy flags. If LEGO took the effort to print the flags, it would have been much better to have a knight flag and a shadow flag. This is yet another blue good guy castle. Since 1995 all the good guys have been blue. A different color would have been nice. The final problem is the figures. Even a poor castle with archers, generic soldiers, and a few knights would be acceptable. The new Shop at Home castle has much better variety than Morcia.

One of the all time worst full-size Castles LEGO has designed. Didn't buy it. Didn't buy it even on deep discount. Don't regret it. Jellybean knights just to make the whole thing more unpalatable.

Well at least this shows TLC is correct on certain of its decision towards their intended audience Ever tried to combine 4 into one super Morcian castle and have anything special about the castle to share with us? It will be interesting to hear it from the point of view of a fan.xbloodyfangs wrote:I own 4 of these , and I think this is possibly one of the best lego castle sets ever.

I sat here for five minutes trying to come up with something positive to say about this set.
I got nothing.

I do not like this set. In fact this set is probably the main reason why I hate KKII. My brother recieved it for Christmas a year back or something, and he promptly built it. I did not like how the front, corner "towers" bottom level was not tall enough for a minifig to fit. The overal design was very UN-impressive and the thing that secured this as a bad set is when my brother whispered to me that althoguh he was grateful for lego's he would have preferred a set that made sence (something that would actually function somewhat.
Lastly I was appalled when after trying several times to make a half decent something out of it's parts I could not succeed in even completing a satisfactory ruin.
Sorry to sound so negative, I ussually try to find something positive about a set, but with this one I jsut can't bring my self to expend the energy.
