Looking for 2 hard to find parts....

Post by Teup »

Hey guys, have tried all means I know of, but to no avail - I really need the following;

http://www.bricklink.com/PL/4531.gif
http://www.bricklink.com/PL/3730.gif

In dark gray (old or new)...

Does anyone happen to have any of these? If you do and you could miss it, please contact me :!:

I do not think that I have any spares but I will check tonight to see. Are these not available on bricklink?

I have emptied Bricklink ;) Needed 8 of both, got 1 hinge and 3 towball sockets. So I still need 7 and 5, respectively, but really even if you have one or two it would be great :)
Called Lego Direct too, they didn't have any..

Yeah, those parts have been out of production for quite a while. You should make a post on bricklink in the forum if you have not yet. Many times sellers will find these types of pieces for you.

I don't have any in dark gray but I am curious. What sets did these come in originally? I can't find any reference to these in dark gray. Lots of them in light gray, but none in dark gray. So where did they come from?

I am wondering if it is true dark grey or a shade between dark grey and light grey. For some reason in the late 70's and early 80's many light grey elements were darker than they should have been. This is especially true of 1x1 clip plates. Of course if the elements are really dark grey, they could be from a LEGOLAND.

Hmm no, they really are dark grey. Exactly the same shade as my other parts. I also noticed there's no set containing them, I found them on Bricklink.. no idea where they're from, all I know is that I need them :P
