My avatar stands witness. I should get a larger photo online though.
Going a little OT here but Duke_Dave - you should try going for someting a little better then a $20 camera. Try investing in one that has better quality. The thing about the cheap ones is that they might work fine when snapping photos of people or the like, but with something as small as Lego, you should go for something that has a better resolution. Unless of course, you are getting a good camera for an even better price.

Did you know he is on gold armor, wearing gold helm, and using a gold sword, and a "custom"Sir Terrance wrote:Dan,
I have always liked your rub n' buff paladin, he is really cool.
Anyways, mine isn't quite ready yet. I need to get a KK2 shield and put on a sticker to complete. It probably won't be for a while since I don't want to buy any KK2 till they go on sale. However I'm quite weak when it comes to saving money...

What kind of stickers are you planning to use on the new kk2 shields? Just wondering. I have two right now but I am not using them at all.

Anyway, my hero, hmmm, don't have one specific guy reprsenting me. I know there is my signfig, but well he is nothing spetacular. As a matter of fact, I am thinking of changing my name, if the admins will let me. What do you think?

I build, therefore I am.

I guess it is gold armour, it must be a custom, I bought on the internet, it is like the silver chrome one, only gold, and gold sword and helm.

You know you're a good person when you see megablocks and have to do things you would rather not.

This site has custom castle items, they are expensive however. They ship worldwide.

But no more! At long last I can show at least some of the my characters.Formendacil wrote:Wish I could show off my heroes.

And anyway, besides looks (in Lego form) they are supposed to be moderately secret (until publication).
Seriously.
But you could look into my Gaming characters for descriptions of some of their near-relatives.
Characters from my story (an incomplete collection): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=92428
My Roleplay Characters (who, BTW, are not wholly unconnected to my story's characters). http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=92561
And the character that I have more-or-less chosen as a sigfig: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=846694
Yes, he is in my story, and no, he is not the main hero, but he is about the second or third main character, and he's the fig I've put onto the Sava list with hopes of getting into Ikros (albeit with a better/different cape).

You aren't kidding, They are selling standard lego pieces for huge amounts of $$. They may have a right to sell custom stuff at those ridiculous prices, but I pity the fool who buys anything else from him. Does Red Bean know how much they are selling his stuff for? These are the types of sellers that make online purchases a buyer beware market.RuthleSs__PaLadin wrote: This site has custom castle items, they are expensive however. They ship worldwide.

Just in case any of you didn't know, all the accessories and other headgear, weapons, items etc... being sold by this pirate are standard Lego pieces and you can find them on bricklink at a fraction of what this seller is selling them for. I wish there was a better way to warn other people away from sellers like this, but the internet is far from perfect. At least we have Classic-Castle.
I would not have been able to build up a 100th of my army if I had bought parts at these prices.

After a long absence, I have returned. I can't wait to start building again.

This was discussed in a previous thread that I'm far too lazy to find. I seem to remember Redbean commenting that he knew who the seller was and what they were charging for his designs.wlister wrote: You aren't kidding, They are selling standard lego pieces for huge amounts of $$. To be honest, I can't say I really blame the guy. As shady as it is, if you've got customers naive enough to buy at whatever price you set, why not take advantage of them? It's not ethical, of course, but ethics won't pay the bills.
Of course, that's not to say I would do the same if I were in his position. My moral fiber is too strong... I'm just good at putting myself in other peoples' shoes.
