I am all for peace and unity in Roawia, but this lady is WAY too suspicious. I have found must "gut feelings" to be there for good reasons. :?

Schmidt, captain of Erkshire's militia, will do WHATEVER his high lord Triphian commands, but he will continue to carve Lenfel arrows and have the horse archers ready at any instance.

And while this lady may bring peace to the lands, I foresee it being shaky at best. More than anything this war ushered in an age of "stab first, ask questions later." And I, for one, intend to hold to that policy

Any leader who would react in such a manner to someone simply pulling out a ring isn't fit to rule a farm, much less a kingdom. I'm tellin ya, it's not natural!

Mark my words, this "queen" is up to no good. Thankfully Andared is not bound by any official Lenfel army or government. His allegiance will still remain to Lenfald and Lenfald alone.
Despite coming from previously warring factions, I agree with you wholeheartedly. She is far too suspicious. While the factions leaders may be under her charm, we will not fall under this spell so easily!

Perhaps there shall be a revolt sometime in the near future, putting aside our differences to rid ourselves of this upstart.

I personally think women make great sovereign rulers... love live Queen Galainir! But that might just be the British monarchist in me speaking :tasty:

Intriguing plot developments though. Look forward to the resulting GC/LC (I'm assuming). Just the small matter of my character currently being stuck in a Lenfel forest somewhere (these storylines move to fast for me!!).

LOL! Well I will be honest...female Queen's are often as ruthless and bloody as Kings even in British history...obvious exception is Queen Elizabeth II who waves her hand like a robot and always seems to be smiling... Either way if she turns out to be like the "Queen of Hearts" then we can expect this line to become prevalent "OFF WITH THEIR HEAD!"
Albatross_Viking wrote: I'd be mad not to agree with the first line of that, but as for the second one... you mean that Arturius doesn't refrain from jumping into their beds in that understanding?
As for my comment about Arturius...what I meant is that he won't be aligning his interests with the "New Queen" unless it suits his people's best interests...but then again he is single and the idea of being King isn't past him... "King Arturius of Rowia"...does have a nice ring to it. :D Plus he does have massive armies behind him...Casino's...tourism funds...

I do want peace!
But not enough that I will blindly follow some lady without exploring all my options

This brings the question, what is the Capital city of Roawia? I'm not sure where the King's Isle is. Where will the new Queen be ruling from? If she rules in Loreos, will her agendas be for the good of the southern realm? If she rules in Lenfald, will her agendas be for the good of the central realm? In Garheim, for the good of the north? Where will the new Queen (or whomever replaces her :raiseone: ) rule that will be best for ALL of Roawia?

I'm still genuinely surprised that being in possession of a long-lost ring immediately proves - without dissenting argument from any of the faction leaders - royal legitimacy. I feel a trial must be held and the general populace must accept that the proof is... in the pudding? We Garhims know when to keep our cool.

As you can see from the map, the capital is on the Kings Island, called "Lion's Head" in the waters south of Garheim and east of Lenfald.

I'll just come out and state for the official record that Galainir IS a decedent of Rosethorn. We (the KC) figured that the ring and her back story adequately proved that, but apparently the good people of LCC are a bit more skeptical than we thought. Next time we'll be sure to make the case more convincing, I guess. :?

Ah, then I shall lay my suspicions to rest. Forgive me if I am wary of accepting a new ruler; with Mark being captured, Chatres' appearance, and Galainir returning from exile on the Magic Isles (you know how trustworthy Outlaws can be :P ) it seemed too good to be true.

I must admit, things do seem a bit suspicious. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. :eyebrows:

Yes, and I hope she will be murdered  so Roawia is thrown into confusion and us outlaws can prosper!

AK,

There is certainly no doubt that Galainir is a descendant of Rosethorn.
I think the skepticism goes beyond that.

There is skepticism of peace, treaties, etc.
Perhaps we don't see the need for a king/queen figurehead, or are just too shallow to trust leaders outside our own faction.
People don't like change either. Highlord Triphian has led our nation of Lenfald to the strongest nation in Roawia, so why would Lenfels seek to change that by following some other leader?

The case is convincing, but why do we need a leader when we already have one?

All of this is in jest of course, for the sake of LCC. I personally think the story is fabulous and this brings much needed change, but for the sake of the story my character will be a skeptic, not on Galainirs lineage, but a skeptic of a new leader :tasty:
