I think this would make a good theme. It could be kind of like the Vikings were. With a hero vs. a monster in each set.

Hercules vs. the Nemean Lion (or Hydra)
Jason vs. the Dragon (or Talos)
Odysseus vs. Sirens

And so forth…

If I were designing the line, I'd tweak the mythology and make it so that the famous heroes were all part of a team, a la Monster Fighters. We could have Odysseus as the leader, Heracles as the muscle, Daedalus as the brains/gadgeteer, Perseus with his winged sandals as the specialist fighter, and Atalanta as the quick, acrobatic one (and to keep it from being -all male-). Let one or two of them star in each set, and put the whole team in the $100+ "grand finale" set against the biggest monster.

I would love this. I don't really care how they come out with it, whether in CMF, or in actual sets, but I would love to get them! I think it is a great idea, I really wish Lego would consider making it. :)

I've got no use for any Roman minifig's.......

Well actually, I would probably end up needing to get another mortgage if an ancient theme came out!

A few sets that would allow me to get more Romans would certainly be interesting!
