See duplicate thread that Ben has already moved to "Dear Lego" (presumably he will move and/or lock this one). My comments are on the other thread, so I won't duplicate them here.
This thread can stay in LEGO Castle because the set likely exists and will come out later this year. It is in a LEGO publication, although it probably should not have been released to the public so soon.

I think it would say Lego Duplo Vikings if it was a duplo set...
Exactly.

Does anyone else notice the minifig scale beard on the viking guy behind the ballista?

Man, that is too good to be true! I must say, if we are getting Vikings, I don't really care how bad KK2 is! That ship absolutely rocks! I really hope this comes to fruition!

I rather expected every time you moved it, it would simply be reposted to Castle Sets by someone else thinking he was breaking the news. :D

As to the Duplo allegations: doesn't look the slightest like Duplo at any level. Neither the design, the use of parts, or the figs. It seems more a question to me if it is a one-off set or a whole line.

Let me be the first to dislike this set. IMO its giving more into the MEGABLOCKs craze.

Look at that hull. It looks to me like its one piece (Or not many at all). And the Dragon Head looks like it's premolded part, well at least some of it. And whats up with that missile launcher thing in the ship? I didn't know vikings had that.

I'll be happy with the figs and shields. But I think I'll make my own ship!

Still, another Castle line with no females, how will Medieval Legoland reproduce TLC? HOW?

The Viking shield maidens are back in the Longhouses and Meadhalls. Anyhow... the ship hull could be 3 or 2 pieced. The Dragonhead looks like its made out of bricks, you can tell just from that fuzzy pic.

JackStone/+4 sized figures are larger than the 4x6 "Dragon Master" flags, but if you compare the guys like the one behind the Balista to the flag at the top of the ship, you'll see its minifig scale. Also notice the guy behind the dragonhead of the ship, he's carrying a spear. A minifig with a bullet helm is about the same height as a minifig scale spear.

All I see is a blurry mess and that the guy looks too big.
I agree that this is a blurry mess, but I think I can make out at least 6 figures. How many Jack Stone sets do you know that have 6+ figures. Also, if that fig was Jack Stone sized, this set would be absolutely huge!! He is simply too small.

I count 1 for sure, maybe two.

I'm blind close up and I count six or seven (one at each oar, behind the catapult, one or two at the bow). The shields are pretty clearly 3x3 radar dishes, and the figs are consistent with standard minifigs in comparison to that. The only one that has the illusion of looking bigger is standing behind the catapult: what may look like his legs is in fact part of the catapult.

I think I'm getting serious eye-strain by staring at that blurry image... so in the case of my sanity, I think I'll have to stop. ;-)

But I did have a thought... it would be sooo sweet to have a red, yellow, black, etc etc beard without having to crack open the paints... lets hope there is more to the vikings than this one ship!

>sigh<
