I bought one of these and the only problem I had was that the pieces on the top of the board seem to be glewed onto it. Has anyone else had this or am I the only one?

For some strange reason TLC decided gluing the pieces would enhance the play value. However, some boards managed to sneak by, untainted. Here's some Linkage pertaining to your dilemma.

LOL! The first chess set I got the pieces werent glued so I managed to get one of the ones that "slipped by". Thanks for the link.
