Nice little set. Simple to build and comes with one of the lovely peasants... Though I wonder why its called the forestmen's crossing, when there is nothing to cross and no forestmen?

I always enjoyed these smaller sets when I was younger. Especially if they had lots of accessories like this one does. Overall this is a good set, and full of nostalgia. If it were to re-issue (without bley!) I would have to grab a few at least. I miss these sets, come on TLG!!!

A small set, but nothing but a beatiful one.

With those weapons, round shield, peasent, and the chestest thing, who could not like it.

My brother got this set as a Mother's Day gift when he was three or four (which my mom actually did like, because it kept him busy...), so it's been around forever, plus a few years, for me.

I agree with Robin Hood on this one--great pieces.

After a little tweaking, the setup works pretty well, and I just like the looks of the set. This is one of the very few sets I still have built.

this set seems great for the price. you get a peasant minifig, horse, and an assortment of weapons for $3. i wish i had picked up a few of these back in the day. i give it a 7 out of ten.

Ahhhh... The set that kicked off 2 decades (and counting) of castle building. I remember that my mom was hesitant to buy this for me as she was concerned about me starting yet another theme (she liked the horse so she bought it). I had the entire 1984 castle line shortly after that. Little did she know that a few years later I would only be buying castle (or sets that are usable for castle).

This is my favorite castle set and figure. 10/10

P.S. For some weird reason, I still have that red clip thingy put together, yet I've never really used it again. And other than a few recent Star Wars sets, it's the only thing I still have in its original form. Go figure.

Ahhh….one of my all time favourites. I have about 3 of these sets. I occasionally try to build more, from various spare lego parts which I may have lying around. Except the red slope is hard to find.

Overall, this would have to be one of my favourite sets, which did not contain any military castle figs. It is so typical of the era (80s), I can not get enough of it.

I say bring back the peasant minifig – but in different arm colours of course.

Even if the set come with weapons (always welcomed) it has a civilian minifig which is quite rare.
The chariot is also nice.
I would like to see more sets like this in these days.
