Almost didn't think I was going to make this one, but I kept at it and can now present:

Having arrived at the Magic Islands, the Wyrmcliff Militia quickly discovers and attacks a nefarious Frostomancer. But will they prevail against the icy mage's enthralled beasts and reanimated minions?

Guys, we are locked in a dead tie for Phase II finalist. I've only received 10 votes so far, including my own. Please continue to send me your votes as the voting window ends this weekend and I'd like it if I didn't have to come up with some sort of tiebreaker.

How about a second round of voting where people can choose between the two finalists?

I'll continue to take votes through today, but as of now, I've received a tie-breaking vote so hopefully we will avoid a tie scenario.

Aww crap.... I misremembered who the two MOCs were that were tied. When I went to enter the new vote, it made a 3-way tie!

What I'm going to do is ask the people who didn't vote for one of the three leaders to re-vote for one of those three via PM. Hopefully that will break the tie

A last minute Freebuild for February.

Mattias departed the boat and stepped on Garheim for the first time in three months. Mattias, along with most of the men of Garheim, left to eradicate the magic-users in the magic isles. There, they were met with the fiercest of resistance, fighting the wizards along with the mighty bandit and outlaw hordes.

While the men of Garheim, Lenfeld, and Loreos fought bravely, many casualties were taken. Mattias lost almost half of his troops and friends fighting an outlaw camp roughly four-times the size of them. The rest of Mattias' forces were told they could go home, that there job was done and that they should go back to defend Garheim in the case of an attack. Eagerly, the troops loaded onto their longboats and sailed back to their winter land.

When Mattias got back, he went o his favorite spot, a small pond a few miles north of his hall in Grahnhaven. There, underneath the large Oak, Mattias rested, contemplating what the future may hold for him, and for all of garheim. Most of all though, Mattias wondered, have we seen the last of magic? Have we knowingly killed the last users of an ancient beautiful art? Only time will tell....

Most of those who earned special rewards for entering both phases of GC3 should be receiving them soon. I mailed all but Tastymuffins' and Brother Steven's last week (those will go out this week). Looking forward to seeing pictures your troops clad in spiffy new attire!
