Those Fright Knight bardings aren't that common anymore. But the KK1 bardings are.
And I'm doing my part to make the ugly things even less common. :D

Actually, I bought a dozen of them quite a while ago for about $1.75 each with the express idea that they would eventually be customized. I'd be willing to use the KK1 bardings but it's simply a matter of numbers - I have about twice as many of the Fright Knights ones and thus they are more expendable. Both are good for customizing because of their neutral gray (oh alright, warm gray, but I mean relative to the other bardings). I figure that at least the scorpion barding will (most likely) get fairly cheap, but unless I'm matching the deep red color, I'll have to spray paint those.

I think you misunderstood me...... I would like those "Ugly Things" as Im using them for my Magatiwala (the "believers" a Kahilawayan subfaction) who are the villain forces of my Ancients Theme. Right now I only have 8 of them in all.

Red
Lt. Gray
Black
Orange
...is their color scheme.

Hey, will you do one with a dragon and a red bottom?

You know you're a good person when you see megablocks and have to do things you would rather not.

ooooooooo, That Wolf Pack Bardaing is soooo cool TTK. I'm not sure how I like the difference in reds though. Why didn't you stick with the same red? There is lighter red then at the bottom there is dark red.

Because that is the way that Amorthe originally did it. All I am trying to do is clean up his work a little and give him credit for doing the first (known) custom barding. Actually, I think it works fine, which is one reason why I did so little to it. I'll probably print it out to see how close it matches the new dark red bardings and adjust from there (which means I need one more of those, since I don't want to break up the set of eight that I have - I knew I should never have titled that other thread "I need to stop getting more of these").

These bardings look absolutely awesome. Everyone's work is first rate. I have one question about applying them. I see you guys talking about using brasso, are you refering ot the tarnish remover? If so, does that take off the present decaling without leaving any marks or discoloration? I like the base grey and would like to work decaling that if possible.

The unicorn barding that TTK made kinda inspired me to make a barding of my own.

I hope you don't mind Two Tonic :? . Here

I felt a sudden onslaught of whimsy. Hmmmm, and I couldn't spell "chicken" correctly - well, best to blunder on.

And, to kill two birds with one message:

Yes, multipurpose metal polish BRASSO. Cleans & Polishes Brass. No marks, no discoloration, just a whole lotta rubbing to get the printing off (see "nude" bardings a few posts up).

Edit in: For those of you that are tired of flipping back and forth between the various deeplinks, here's the whole folder, though I don't know what it's current state of moderation is.

A question: What size do you make these? As in, inches. or centmeters works too.

Hard to answer that since I can only truly give you the size of the whole "canvas", and not actual dimensions of just the barding. In 500 pixels/inch (Sava-Standard, as I refer to it), the whole thing measures 1084x667 pixels, or 2.168x1.334 inches. They print out to the size of an actual barding, so just measure one of those if you want the approximate real size upon printing.

Edit in: So I did the logical thing and cropped it right up to the edge of the actual barding: 1013x593 pixels or 2.026x1.186 inches.

Ok thanks I'll give it a try.

Just copy one off brickshelf and use it as a template. You do NOT want to have to futz around with your own scratch design trying to get the proportions correct. A copy of older ones don't have the smoothed out edges done properly - the newer green/white unicorn one should be correct.
