New MOC: Forestmen cave

Post by Reejoc »

A couple more mocs I'd like to share with you. Firstly a landscape moc with a secret:

and a sort of medieval assault vehicle designed for Black Falcon archers:

Nice, I like how the landscape cave comes apart. It must add playability, it seems like something lego would make. I like the roof on the wagon. Keep it up!

Very nice! I particularly like the tree. The cave itself seems a little spartan, perhaps some food, spoils, camp supplies etc, but the entrance and landscaping are very well done!

God Bless,

The landscaping is absolutely great, but like Nathan mentioned the cave does seem a little prehistoric- some human modifications to make like it's livable would be good.

I like the height of the tree too- it really puts things into perspective literally of course. I wish I had that much old brown!

These are two very nice creations. I look forward to seeing more MOCs from you, particularly in the landscaping department.

Beautiful. The cave could use some... "homey touches" as it were, but the basic consept and almost of the excecution is great. The falcon siege archer cart is an ingenioous and rather cool idea.

This is like the big Forestmen hideouts I used to build as a kid, except, *ahem* a lot better (obviously). :D The landscaping and tree are both great, and I love the hidden entrance. I agree that the cave could use some furnishings, but this is a great MOC overall.

Beauty, eh!

I love the cave. It just works, that's all there is to it.

I remember trying to make things like this as a kid too, but they never EVER worked out this well. Maybe I should try again, yeah?

A favorite detail is the way the entrance covering works, nice job there!

The cart is very cool too, but the cave somehow outshines it...

Awesome cave entrance- it actually took me a few minutes to figure out where in heck the entrance was, I thought you could only get them in by opening it.
Beautiful landscaping, especially that tree! :o  'tis big! Very cool.

Landscape:
This is really really nice. The landscaping is excellently done, and even though I've seen more leafy trees, I like this one in here. The cave is great too. I usually use a six brick height for interiors (not that I've posted any), and so the five brick height definitely makes it feel more like a slightly cramped cave.

Vehicle:
This cart is also really great. I like studs-out construction just about as much as I like studless construction (a lot). The flags as windows are great, as is the harness. I also like the drivers seat area. The whole thing has a wonderful old-school feel (and I forgot to mention that the landscape does too).

I really like your cart and landscape mocs. Maybe you could post some tips for cart building?

O.O Awsome! I love landscaping moc's that have a hidden passage in them. Great landscaping and your tree is very well done.
