2008 Sets

Post by Athos »

Someone on eurobricks is claiming to have a list of the sets for 2008. I don't know where the info comes from on its veracity, but here it is nonetheless:

I think this is real.

DNL Posted something about this in the new castle sets topic yesterday, the names he provided were very similar to the ones on Eurobricks.

But I think that was just a loss in translation, since he pointed out that the names had been translated from what he found on a.. (Can't remember what country now that I think of it..)-ish website.

Also noted was that the sets would arrive in April.

Sounds good to me! I can't wait to put my wallet on yet another diet..

Apart from a set number change appears not that in consistent with previous threads here:

LEGO Castle 7040 - Defending the dwarfsmine, deliverable April 2008
viewtopic.php?t=10882

LEGO Castle 5615 Sentry & LEGO Castle 5614 Sorcerer, deliverable April 2008
viewtopic.php?t=11132&start=0

I hope that’s just a lost in translation thing “Troll’s battlecar” and not a fantasy motor car.

I can wait we still have not received all of this years castle sets in Australia yet.

Mario

edit thanks for the information Steve

The "Defender" would be different to the Dwarfs mining.

Beyond set number there's also the matter of release date. Dwarfs mining is essentially a preview set.

It's real, they had a Dwarves Mine being attacked in a pic. So I believe it.

This might be a European release date; US might be around August or September.

I am interested in seeing the sorcerer. I hope it isn't another name for the necromancer!

2007 or 2008?
I'd love to see more sets like the ones that came out from the early 1980s-mid 1990s. Minifig packs with accessories would be pretty cool too. For some reason I can't get into the 'new' castle stuff, like Jayko. I prefer peasantry and the like anyway. I'm terrible at building castles so I stick to little castle villages/hamlets.

More pictures up at eurobricks... I won't post a link, since it may violate the TOS...

I'm just happy I won't have to collect any more skellies. I doubt I'll ever like having them as a faction. Were it not for their cool shields and the new scimitar, I wouldn't trifle with them at all. Hoorah for orcs and trolls!
