Skeletal peasants

Post by timber_wolf899 »

With regard to the skeletal faction, what do you guys think of skeletal peasants?

I'm thinking of skeletal farmers growing food for the wizard, skeletal miners, skeletal laborers. Not sure if i want to go that macabre<sp> though.

Sounds like a good idea. And since they are already dead you can work them to death.....

I usually think of them as a horde of difficult to kill enemies in an evil army but the wizards human servants and him must eat...

It's your Legoverse so go for it! I reckon it has the possibility of being pretty cool!

Every army needs someone to do the dirty work. Do it!

I say do it.

..But if you want my opinion on this, and you want the work around the Skellie fortress to get done right, you may just want to hire a Cyborg Skellie -Scratch that- ..a Bat-Borg.

Of course, if you want to do things the old fashion way, I guess you could just go with the typical peasant.. And maybe, just maybe, if you get on his good side, you can get this guy to wash the windows and clean the gutters. :P

How about a skeletal undertaker? Oh wait....

Seriously, though, cool idea. A few more: gong farmer (someone's got to clean up after those dragons!), blacksmith, cooper, fletcher, farrier (do skeletal horses need shoes?), weaver, monk, scribe, playwright, actor, etc.

I guess one has to figure that all sorts of jobs would need be done..... though if he can animate an entire army of skellies I guess he could just use his magic to do much of these things as well. Or perhaps have his skellie army 'influence' humans, dwarves and the likes for him...

I still think if you like the idea you should do it.

I don't think the skeletons would need a monk...or a playwright...or an actor!

Why not? I'm sure skeletons have some sort of belief system. And everyone needs entertainment in their off hours. Sure, most skeletons are going to sit around and watch tv, but some will go in for a good play, I'm sure.

Indeed, or at least for some prose on said TV:

"Oh, cruel fate... to be thusly (skeleton) boned!" [sic] Ask not for whom the bone bones, it bones for thee!"
- Bender Bending Rodriguez
"Old Wizards never die, nor fade away. They just kind of operate behind the scenes and in the shadows... doing all of their weird and wonderful Wizardy things and whatnot."

Skeletal workers? Sounds like a setup for a horror movie to me!

"And it was there, for all of Jimmy Bob's friends have become skeletal farmers! Noooooo!" Just a figment of my imagination.

Umm....considering the fact that the skellies are animated dead people and really have no mind of their own...if they worship anything, it's probably the wizard that sustains them. I think they'd be some sort of unholy priests then...not monks.

As far as actors and playwrights go...they probably produce lots of pirate movies. They're perfect candidates for the skeleton crews!!!!

God bless.

Skeleton crew--you beat me to it! This would make a creepy village.
