Definitely the AR-7 sniper's bow with Rune-sight telescopic sight and Dagpul Elfhair bowstring.
Or a lightsaber. An elegant weapon for a more civilized age.

...and that's how Equestria was made!

Re: What are your favorite medieval weapon?
I would use a hand-and-a-half sword, a longbow, and a shield.

Re: What are your favorite medieval weapon?
There are plenty that are worthy for different reasons, but two of the most evocative are the good ole longsword and the katana. The longbow also gets a nod since The White Company is one of my all-time fav books.
WW2 combat engineers had to build bridges, clear mines/obstacles, etc while under machinegun fire (or worse). I may be a bit biased considering one of my grandfathers was a combat engineer in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy, but I think they had it a little worse than Medieval engineersJoshWedin wrote:
Medieval engineers knew their stuff. If they couldn't hit what they were aiming at consistantly, they would have been out of a job and quite possibly dead. I'd like to see our modern engineers build something like that while under fire.

Re: What are your favorite medieval weapon?
Depends on the weapon that I'm fighting against. It's an enemy fighting with a or several daggers, then a battleaxe. Longsword, I'd use a flail. Against a longbow, I'd use a longbow. Against a crossbow, I'd use a longbow. Against a flail, I'd use throwing knives. Spear, I'd use a pike and dagger. Pike, I'd use a longbow.

The goedendag: a huge club with big spike at the top -- a vicious weapon that looks like it could knock down a horse and punch holes in a knight's armor like can of juice. Mostly I like the irony of the name -- it means "Good day" in Dutch.

Throndor that is quite a lot of weapons you would have to carry. I would hate to be your squire.Throndor wrote:Depends on the weapon that I'm fighting against. Hand-and-a-half sword/longsword all the way!
When I've fought/played with weapons I always use a hand-and-a-half sword, though as I'm growing I reckon I'll use a longsword one day
Longbows are cool, as are spear sand halberds. There's something about being skilled with a bow that's amazing

Re: What are your favorite medieval weapon?
Good Question! I think I would use the longbow for sure but also a hand and a half sword as well.
I actually own 2 hand and a half training swords. So you better watch out!
