I really like it Sir T. The plainess makes it look really nice. Sometuimes elaborate isn't the best. This is one of those times. The tree adds just enough color.

I have to agree with Formendacil, it looks strong and simple. Yet the simplness of it adds to its good looks.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I was thinking of adding some slopes to the base if i had them, but real castles weren't too fancy either.

Hey,

I like that tree in the front, but think that in green it might seem a little more tree-y. In fall colors, though, it would be cool to see a forest of these. On the gatehouse, it's a little plain, but I like the massiveness of it--it really gives a sense of strength.

To comment more, I would like to see the rest of the castle. It would be awsome

Yes, I have dreamed about making an entire castle with that style. Thanks for the comments on the tree Bruce, and yes I do have a shorter one in green, but it is for my Tim Hortons.

Robin, you're from Canada! Surely you know what a Tim Hortons is? (For all of you who aren't: Tim Hortons is a donut/coffee/sandwich type fastfood chain.)

And, Sir Terrance, if Tim Hortons coffee or other product is your imaginational fuel, then I say stock up!

I do know what a Tim Horton is, I was wondering if he had made one out of lego.

Hmmm, now that you mention it, it does sound like he's refering to a Tims MOC. We've had the Spamcake Diner, and another one based on a real diner (lar, was that you?), so why not Tim's.

[off-topic] For the uninitiated (i.e. non-Canadians), Tim Horton's is not so much a coffee/donut shop as it is a minor religion. Unfortunately, after living in Europe for two years I no longer think Tim's coffee is strong enough. [/off-topic]

Oh, here's a more 'on topic' thought: What would Tim Horton's look like as a medieval shoppe? Who'd like to give that idea a go?

Thanks for the backup, Footsteps. I only gave a bare-bones overview of Tim Hortons: I didn't want to wierd out the Europeans or the Americans too much with our insanities, although there was hardly any point to concealing it, as almost everyone on this site could be considered somewhat crazy (I mean, worshipping castle Lego to the point of calling Black Falcons saints, and KK2s work of the devil :D :D :D {just joking}).

A Lego Tim Hortons- now there's an idea!

Yes, I have built a LEGO Tim Hortons a while ago. It will be in the Great Edmonton Train show this year with NALUG. I ask if you could not build another townish Tim's since I believe I am the first, and would like to be original, thanks.
