The Vyette Ruins

Here is something quick I whipped up both for the monthly challenge and to help me get back into the groove of doing some serious building.
The Vyette Ruins:

Who can be the first to spy where the entrance to the smugglers' tunnel is?

I really like this MOC, however I would consider (if it's still built) replacing the figures in the ruin with corpses. Right now the soldier sitting on the battlement with the snow on his lap looks a bit out of place. If he had a skull and white hands (normal skull, not the new one) it would imply that he froze to death. The troll from Harry Potter would be even better as it would suggest that the death was more recent. The same would work for the soldiers inside the ruin. This MOC has a very ominous feel to it which is diminished greatly by the living inhabitants.
Originally I thought the MOC was showing a lone warrior walking by an outpost where the soldiers have died due to overexposure. Everything else is top-notch though. I really like snow covered scenes as they are fairly uncommon.

I really love the whole idea behind this. (It actually reminds me a lot of the game Oblivion, with all sorts of bad guys hiding in the ruins.) I'm a fan of the whole more-than-meets-the-eye kind of approach.

Here is why I chose to do it the way I did: I chose live soldiers because this way the smugglers are right under their noses (literally) and also what's the reason of a tunnel when there is nobody else around? Also live soldiers can be killed, thus the assassin. But thank you for your opinion and compliments!

Great MOC. I really like the busy-ness of the tunnel. Trade appears to be booming. The land looks a little too bare, a dead tree or a couple of pines would look nice (in my opinion). The soldier atop the tower with snow on his lap look great, though I might try to cover him up a bit more with snow. I can remember several hunts in the winter where I drifted off and woke up to find myself covered in a coating of snow. I sympathize with him. Other than that, great little MOC.

I have always been a big fan of ruins, especially snow-covered ones. Unfortunately, I don't have white plates to use as snow, so thank you for building such a great moc to brighten my day!

The destroyed watch tower was awesome as well as the terrain. Well done!
