Built this last year and never really shared it with the Castle community. Featured in the Raleigh LEGO Store's Window Into the Community in November 2009, this is my tribute to some classic Castle kits from over the years - a few of which appear here in some form.

Re: Landscaped WITC display
I like the looks of this! It has a yellow castle, a village, a forest and more. Very well done!

The trees are very well done. The display is a great tribute although I could never really wrap my head around the yellow castle. Still, nice work.

Thanks for sharing pics. I've been trying to collect enough of those duplo tree pieces to use for a while, so it is good to see them on display! Also like the 6066 tribute hiding in there.

I'm surprised that we haven't seen more people try to use DUPLO trees. I really liked the effect of having one mixed in with the other types of trees I was using.Norro wrote:Thanks for sharing pics. That's actually the whole set on that one - 6066 is one of my personal favorite Castle sets. I just wish I hadn't built it in quite so well - I don't think I can get it out of there.

This is beautiful! My favorite part has to be the Duplo trees. Great idea.

A beautiful display with lots to look at! I really wish LEGO wouldn't have decided to stop the WITC program, I had great fun building displays for my local LEGO Store! Oh well
