HMS Brunswick

Post by Elephant Knight »

Hey all,

I'd just thought I'd post my latest achievement in ship building. (Not many pics now, but I am going to wait a while to take more pics)

The HMS Brunswick

This ship has broken many records in my ship building carrier:

Using reference pics. Before this, I just built whatever I felt like.
Longest ship. At 124 studs, this makes it longer than even any of my spaceships!
Tallest ship. This one measures about 2.5 feet at least, cause it is a bit less then half my heights, and I am 55'6"
Most string used. I don't know how much I used, but the bowsprit alone uses more than what usually have.
Most sails. At 17 separate sails, this cleanly takes first place, with having almost twice as much as the previous contender. Not to mention most of these sails are just BIGGER than the previous contender as well.
Most decks. First one two have 2 cannon decks, though one isn't accessible
Did I mention biggest?

Enough stats for now, please feel free to comment!

Very nice captain. Now that you've set yourself some records, you need to break them. :D

:o Woah...great job, E Knight! This ship is fantasic. The color scheme is nice, the rigging is very complex, and the whole thing has a nice look to it. Well done!

Yes, using ship reference pics really helps me, too.

Pretty sure that's a typo, little bro--you're not six foot, four inches tall. However, that doesn't mean your ship CAN'T be 2 feet, 6 inches, and just under half your height.

Excellent job--the rigging is particularly impressive.

 Typo fixed. I have no idea what I was thinking when I typed that. Problem solved.

I'm glad to see you're not exaggerating now.

What are the sails made out of? Paper or cloth?

An update! I have more pics up, and a few of the finicky details have been smoothed out.

Overview

A shot of the deck
Updated stern

Wow, the new angles at the...stern are great !
I can just say, that I love the sails.
The best angle to look at this ship is from the back do I think.
There we can see every detail !
