I thought I'd add a story to this one to explain the strange alliances. This will be my last MOC for awhile... the bricks are going to storage for a year. This MOC includes a partial interior setup of the keep and a warship. The ship was hastily put together because I am leaving in two days, I wish I could have made it a little more intricate. Additionally, I tried not to use very many dark gray bricks and instead used some SNOT tiles for accents. You should notice I also made my first wholly own siege weapons too. Enjoy.
Background:
For 100 years the Royal Knights ruled the realm. Then a new benevolent faction entered the realm with newer "shinier" weapons and armor. They quickly usurped the Royal Knights leadership within the realm. The Royal knights took a diminished role in the realm and were not particularly happy about it. They fretted and sulked throughout the land under the imposed banner of the Crown Knights. Recently, the Dragon Warriors entered the realm and quickly established themselves as the lords of all things evil. The Dragon Warriors manipulated the Royal Knights into an alliance through subterfuge and lies capitalizing on thier resentment of the Crown Knights leading role in the realm. The Dragon warriors went on the war path across the realm forcing the hand of the Crown, who called out their allies The Royal Knight and marched on the Dragon Warrior's War party. Unknown to the Crown Knight the Royal Knights were secretly serving the Dragon Warriors and they quickly turned on the Crown Knights. Routed, the Crownies fell back from fortress to fortress. The Dragon Warriors with help from hired mercenaries (Scorpions, Bulls, and Skulls) along with the Royal Knights formed a dark alliance and drove the Crown Knights from their last bastion in the realm at Crown Fortress. There the Dark Alliance successfully laid siege to the fortress and finally breached its fortifications. Only a small band of forest men stand with the Crown Knights in this epic siege. The Crown Knights are in a battle for their lives... it has become the time of the Dragon Warriors.

Wow, that's quite the battle scene! I like how it's not just all of each faction on either side fighting away, but how it's in "sections" if you will.
The Castle is really nice as well. I like the interior with all of the Crownie-destruction relatedness.

Wow. Fantastic architecture on the castle. I also noticed the little "craters" left by the catapults? Fantastic details are everywhere. The interior shots are very nice as well. I also love the battle scene outside; it is really great to see some serious action. Excellent work.

Ditto what they said! Youve really outdone yourself with this one!
The Minifig posing is especially fantastic. Great job bro.

Re: The Fall of the Crown Knights
Thanks everyone... this is my first significant battle scene MOC. Its kind of funny though, I initially progressed really quickly until I got to the keep portion then I had to do several tear downs and rebuild mainly due to the interior. Interiors are a PITA especially in regards to the way they shape the exterior.
Additionally, I tried to use the majority of my figs and wanted the sides to be obviously lop sided in order to convey the sense that the Crown Knights were doomed.
I am particularly proud of the siege engines, the damage to the walls, rocks, the small hanging bridge, and the interior; I was surprised how well they all turned out.
In retrospect, I wish I had more time to perfect the warship, the water effects, and the landscaping around the enemy battlements. All-in-all I'm pleased with the result. Thanks for all the compliments and please feel to critique the MOC more harshly... so that I could improve my building skills.

Great castle, but the Crown won't die as long as I'm around! Respect the Crown!

Re: The Fall of the Crown Knights
Totally awesome! The damages on the castle walls and siege weapons are an excellent plus! Not enough dead bodies though imo..
Re: The Fall of the Crown Knights
This is one of those builds that I wish I could see in person to catch all the details. So many great features! Your tower design was an inspiration to me on the current project I am working on as you will see so thanks for the great ideas!
