Recently caught the tale-end of The Last Samurai on TV. It inspired this...

I'm loving your series with those tan arch pieces, really inspiring! The water and bridge are very good.
My only nitpick would be the water's edge, it looks a bit too plain to me.

Very creative useing the carrot as a fish, but I don't really like how you used those slopes as legs.

I'd say the usage of the slopes was quite clever... I didn't even notice that they were slopes at first sight; the intended effect of making them appear in pose certainly added to the intensity.

Excellent job again! I like the tiny bird houses/zen monuments, and i love how you put the trans green studs on the plants to blend the stark black hole those kind of plants produce. Well done!
And guys... I dont think that is a fish, I think its succeeding in being a emergent water plant.

I could be wrong though.

I agree, the part is used in other plants in the moc that are above ground.

I'm not sure if this assumption is correct or not, but is this built of your Iron-man competition with Guy? If so, I say good luck to him to beat this...

This is an amazing moc.
I really like the roof and the blossom tree. The bridge also is very creative.
Nice work!

Cheers guys, thanks for the comments. Much appreciated.
There were a few comments, both here and on Flickr, that the water edges were a little stark. I suppose I was trying to get across the feel of an ornamental garden, some place artificial not natural. Don't think it quite came off though.
BLego7 - yep, this was for my IronBuilder challenge with Guy. This was probably my favourite of all the things I built during the month.

Slopes as legs are awesome. Those who disagree probably haven't seen enough samurai movies.
I also think the bridge is clever.
Nice work overall

Nice, I like it. The using of slopes for the legs were probably the best way to give that martial arts effect on the minifigs. Great job.
