Nikaia Antipolis

Hello everybody!
Here's my latest MOC, the Greek City of Nikaia Antipolis .

2 months in building, more than 50,000 bricks and small parts, 150 minifigs among which 100 Hoplites!

Wow. This is beautiful. That was quite the project and I can't wait to see more pics once the Brickshelf folder is public.

Now that is one amazing Greek city! I love the statue the most, but the rounded aphitheatre is awsome as well.

This is an amazing build. So incredible! I like how bright everything is being built in white.

One question, is the area around the stadium tiled to give the impression of paving? I can't tell from the thumbnail and am wondering why it isn't all cobblestoney like the rest of the MOC.

Can't wait to see more pics. Great work!

Yes, the area around the Theatre is tiled.
I hope that the pics on Brickshelf will be validate soon and MOCPages will recover from crash.

Wow, that is totally unbelievable. I always look forward to new mocs from you, and this is just insane. The temple, statue, and amphitheater, all so beautiful. I can't wait for the brickshelf folder to become public.
You would rather be building right now.

Fantastic MOC right here. The statue and the architecture are 2 noticeable details but as I look closer, I see tons more. One of the best Greek builds I've seen in a while. Great work and I would love to see more from you!

That's a cracking build! The amphitheatre reminds me of a few in the Asterix comics and the rest of it reminds me of Asterix at the Olympic Games :D

Heh Im a fan of the Asterix comics and also this reminds me of that :)
I dont recall any famous gigantic statue though? But it is indeed impressive.

2 months to build- how long to plan if I may ask? Not really including the time spent acquiring the lego though.

Very impressive project. Hope it is on display for many to enjoy.

Wow, this is a thing of beauty. So many details to highlight - the curve of the collosseum section is great, the huge stairway, the doors inside the temple, that photo of the Zeus statue with the glare off the lightning bolt, the great custom robe, especially on the seated philosopher, etc etc etc.

This reminds me of way back in the day, like the late 90's, there was an ancient building contest...
