Re: Roof Doodle
Whoa! What color are those tiles? Seems odd that I can't think of it. I like the technique, looks solid.

Re: Roof Doodle
Those are all black cheese wedges. If the color looks a bit funky, then blame my camera/photography skills.

Looks very good. I would like to try this. I second the question: "How did you do it?" Thx.

Re: Roof Doodle
The shingle-look has a nice appeal to it. Also this is pretty smooth as far as cracks go. Always pretty tough to do a decent non-right angle roof and you did a great job on yours!

Re: Roof Doodle
As impressed as I was by the original roof, I'm even more impressed by the engineering that went into it!

Re: Roof Doodle
I like this. I might end up using the technique in a future moc.

Re: Roof Doodle
Very impressive design and outcome. And is is rock solid too!
Re: Roof Doodle
Thanks for the steps. I have been wanting to try and build a domed roof and this is about the size I wanted to try. The steps/process has eluded me so far. This technique may work for a dome as well as a conical sloped roof. Instead of using cheese wedges you could try 1x1s...or something else? I will have to see if I have enough of those hinge peices to try this. Thanks.
