Dear LEGO - More LOTR minifigures!
Dear LEGO,
Recently inspired from a forum where a series of CMF for LOTR was discussed, I have decided with their inspiration, to inform you of our desire for more LOTR minifigures. I know LEGO, that there are more waves coming, but the following is a list of LOTR minifigures I hope you will make.
1.) Galadriel
2.) Faramir
3.) Eowyn
4.) Théoden (royal attire)
5.) Sauron (brick-built or not, I don't have a preference!)
6.) More orc variations
7.) Sam in orc disguise
8.) Frodo in orc disguise
9.) More unique orc and uruk minifigures similar to Lurtz's unique figure (options include Grishnakh, to name one)
10.) Gondor soldier (please!!!!!!)
11.) Gondor Ranger (see above)
12.) Denethor
13.) Rohan Soldier variation
14.) Elven warrior (such as that from Helm's deep or 3rd age)
15.) Elves in general!
16.) Easterling
17.) Third age Warrior
18.) Isildur
19.) Twilight Ringwraiths
20.) Witch-King with custom built flail
21.) Hama of Rohan
Hobbit Figures
1.) Radaghast the Brown
What are your thoughts on these LOTR minifigure suggestions. Which ones would you add to the list?

Hama, the Captain of the Guard in Rohan. The one who dies by Warg.
More of the Dead! Those guys are cool, and plot-significant.
Radagast! (technically Hobbit, but come on, we need this guy!)

I think Haradrim would be really cool minifigs. More Corsairs of Umbar. Now for the Hobbit, the Orcs that fought the Dwarves were pretty boss, I'd love to see more than a few made.
It's been mentioned before over on the EB forums, but a Prancing Pony/small section of Bree set would be a really neat opportunity to get LotR villagers and an iconic place in the movie.

Yes, we need more LotR figs. I would love some soldiers of Gondor, as well as Haradrim and Easterlings. An Oliphant to go with them would be beast (pun intended!). A CMF LotR line would be so awesome and would also sell really well, but I can't see TLG doing that as they would prefer to put the popular figs (a.k.a. nearly all of them) in sets.

I mentioned this in the other thread, but I believe there is a licensing issue with doing stand-alone, CMF-style licensed characters because it crosses over into "action figure" territory, the rights to which are likely owned by a different company.Sir Erathor wrote:A CMF LotR line would be so awesome and would also sell really well, but I can't see TLG doing that as they would prefer to put the popular figs (a.k.a. nearly all of them) in sets.

Hey all,
I am aware of a conflict in licensing structure as previously mentioned in other threads. However, this thread deals specifically with minifigures we wish to see in upcoming sets, not minifigures in their own specific CMF line; Minifigures that have not been released yet. Being the case, dream to your hearts content on which ones you want to see

Balrog. Period.

(technically not a minifigure, but could be done at a scale similar to the current Castle dragon)

Re: Dear LEGO - More LOTR minifigures!
Yeah, why not? It looks like they have it designed already, just make some simple rocks, add some Goblins and Gandalf, and bingo, you got a $40-50 set ready for the fans to consume.AK_Brickster wrote:Balrog. Period.

Yes, I could go for all of those in the first list, especially Galadriel, she's just soo dreamy, Sauron and Balrog as well. Whom would I add? No question...Durin (the first incarnation).

I think that a Balrog would be great, especially as so many people would buy it. My brothers and I discuss the sets we'd like to see, and the Balrog comes up again and again!

Re: Dear LEGO - More LOTR minifigures!
Thanks for all the feedback guys! It appears more LOTR and Hobbit minifigures are what we are all wanting. I am quite anxious to see the next Hobbit wave and what it will bring to the table.

Re: Dear LEGO - More LOTR minifigures!
Agreed. I hope we get to see some pictures pretty soon. It's almost October already and the sets are scheduled for what? Late November maybe? As long as it's earlier than last year...SSchmidt wrote:Thanks for all the feedback guys! It appears more LOTR and Hobbit minifigures are what we are all wanting. The laketown chase set was revealed at SDCC earlier this year, and brings a few new nice figs, or parts.SSchmidt wrote:Thanks for all the feedback guys! The 'reveal' video is bizarrely on MTV's website. But I guess that's part of TLG's marketing attempts to draw in potential 'FOLs' from other media.

Wow, that's really neat! I hadn't seen that yet, thank you for posting!
I really love the new helmet and new hat(?) Cool buildings and shield, looks like a really nice set.
