Oscars - best song, but no best animated feature

Hey all,

The LEGO Movie was somehow not nominated for a 'best animated feature' oscar (guess I'll have to root for Big Hero 6). On Twitter this morning, director Philip Lord tweeted out "It's okay. Made my own!", with this pic:

Thankfully, Everything is Awesome! was nominated for best song. Usually the only things I actually want to watch at the Oscars are the memorial of that year's deceased actors etc and the performances of the best song. So I'm looking forward to a big production for that.

Nasty, wicked, tricksy, false hobbitses! :?

All jokes aside, I'm surprised, I was impressed by the animation. The attention to detail with scuffs and fingerprints and such was great. Oh well, as you said, Big Hero 6 (fantastic movie) had some top-notch animation too, so I'll hope on that. Good to hear it got nominated in some way, though! Everything is awesome! :D
