Benoic Watchtower

Having recently acquired quite a few dark green plates, I wanted to try a landscape in that color and chose to put a small tower/cottage combo on it. There is a full interior, though because of the small size the furnishings are fairly frugal. Both doors are functional as well. The corner stonework was inspired by Dwalin Forkbeard, the cottage was inspired by Legopard, the ‘gear’ mushrooms were borrowed from Captain Flint, and the tower windows were inspired by Gideon.

Benoic has many stone watchtowers within its lands to provide warning in case of attack, and also as bastions of defense. This particular tower also has a small cottage to serve as living quarters for the soldiers stationed there.

Really eye-pleasing angles used on the buildings and landscape! I see you also got at least one of the new Evil knights (as did I :raiseone: ).

Thanks Henry! I actually have 8 evil knights now, as I was able to find 7 in one trip to a LEGO store, and also won 1 as a prize in the eurobricks CMF contest :D

i'm just now getting into scenic adds and testing the different styles, i like how the dark green look really natural, and Go Green dragons!

Keep up the good work looking forward to the interior pics.

That is incredible! I appreciate the small tree next to the tower. How did you get the pieces for the cottage? Do you have any idea what set it is from, because I am not sure if I have seen the log pieces in that color.

Thanks guys!

@Leo of Rothenburg: I got my log/palisade bricks in Medium Dark Flesh through bricklink.

hey how come I missed this one? was it on Flickr at any point?
I jut love it <3 it's reminds me of an idea I had in mind for a while which then turned out to be my 2nd MOC, I had a piece of wall to the side of the tower instead of the cottage.. really like how u realised it! ^^
