Starting February 4th, you may pre-order semi-official sets through
Bricklink Designer Program 4. This program is similar to LEGO Ideas, but the set design and instructions are fully done by the creator. When you buy the set, you do so through lego.com. They are only available for pre-order.
In the past, the castle sets have sold out in the first hour or so.
Here are the sets:
Medieval Seaside Market by Bricks_fan_uy for US $229.99, 2,560pcs
Siege Encampment by SleeplessNight for US $229.99, 2,598pcs
Riverside Scholars by Hanwas for US $199.99, 2,769pcs

Good stuff all three. Two first ones especially go very well with both previously released official sets and sets of these series from recent years. Gotta take closer look at that trebuchet of Siege Encampment. Also like the fact there's plenty of minifigs in that one.
I typically buy sets for parts and these are all excellent, at least for not having too much "useless" stuff. Price per brick obviously matters too but I'm not putting any thought on that now. However due to the fact these are rather limited and sold fast, I'm not too sure if I would want to buy any. Even if price per piece was generous.
I'm glad castle theme is popular in Bricklink Designer Program, but also hope TLG wasn't so much about licensed super heroes and Disney these days.

Some smaller castle sets would be nice to go along with these huge, big ones.
