What I want to be available...
I wouldn't mind seeing a re-release of the blue 32x32 baseplate as an
individual offering like the light gray 48x48 plate and the green 32x32
base plate, since the blue baseplate has sold out.
Its available in the Doc Oc's Hideout, but I don't want to have to by
several (many) of these high priced sets to get a decent quantity of
blue baseplates.
If I think of more stuff I want, I'll post them later...

Dear Greatest Toy Company IN THE WORLD,
Please make more 32*32 Baseplates in a variety of colors. Maybe even tyedye.
Fare the Well,
Barda
PS- Please make a UCS Version of Siege Weaponry, preferably Megafigure size.

I'd certainly like to see a wider range of baseplates available.
However, it would also be nice if the baseplates were sold in packs of 2 for $7 like the road plates instead of being individually packaged for $5.

Hmm... Good point. I realize that there is slightly less plastic on the road plates than on the regular baseplates with the same footprint, but you'd think that the printing on the roadplates would even that out, or even make them more expensive (slightly).rogue27 wrote:I'd certainly like to see a wider range of baseplates available.

Are you listening, LEGO?

The amount of plastic used shouldn't vary too much because the studs are hollow. The difference in manufacturing costs should be negligible after you factor in the printing on the road plates.
I'm fairly convinced that being individually wrapped is a big part of their higher cost. It's similar at a grocery store. One individually wrapped Nutty Bar will cost $0.25, but if you buy a box of 8, it is less than $1.
Anyway, it would be nice to see the following things for $7 (or $7.50 or even $8 if they must):
2 32x32 baseplates
4 16x32 baseplates
8 8x16 baseplates
Available colors:
green, blue, white, tan, brown, gray, dark gray
Some of the colors could be left out if needed.

Dont get me wrong, I have a few of the giant baseplates, and I like them, and would like to see more in other colors.
But I would seriously prefer to see the "standard" 32*32 in a variety of colors first.
By having brown for instancy, you could make roads look right by covering the rest in green or grey. then the road would be sunken just a tad. blue is of course great, and I have a few from over the years, makes it nice to make moats and such easily.
so yes lego - please make more blue base plates, and pretty please while you are at it make some in a few other colors.
(see I even said pretty please?)
