Theatre Castillo

Post by Glencaer »

A re-done version of my Globe-esque theatre. The earlier one is the Tulip (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=767504)

and this one, because of the castle facade, is the Castillo:

Enjoy

Hey Lenny,

Very cool! I like it even better than the Tulip. The castle facade is cool and I am a big fan of round lego buildings anyway. Only one nitpicking criticism. Isn't it a bit small when it is closed? It seems that the audience is right up against the stage then. It would be cool to add a wall section or two in order to have a "pit" area. I think that might give it a sense of more space. Just my 2 cents. Very cool MOC!

I saw that on brickshelf yesterday and wondering when you were going to post it, so i could say how cool it is.

Good work. I really like it and maybe I will try and copy it

Awsome Job again!

Don't hate me for saying this, but I like the Tulip better. The small size and origionality of it makes it a true blue ideal 3CS model!

But this certainly is a A+ moc in itself. And I do like the name, and how that relates to the apperance of the moc.

I still think the round, Globe like theatre is a great design!

If I ever get a decent walled city one is definiatly going in. How about I call it the Lennium!

Actually, there is quite a bit of space for the Pit and the commoners who would be standing there.

This is a photo of the reconstructed Globe in London. (I went to London this past May) - compare to:

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=983195

The stage only extends about halfway into the enclosure (the above photos may make it seem like it extends farther) - but then the people to the extreme sides of the theatre might not see a good performance. ;)

Thanks for all the kind remarks everyone!

Right on, I see that now. I thought that picture was with the walls open. I now have no nitpicking criticisms. This really is pretty cool. The way it opens up is quite impressive. Way to go, Lenny.

Great job on this Lenny! I love the whole area around the stage, especially the circular balcony. I also like the entrance better than the one on the Tulip.

Does anyone know when in history these started popping up? It would be a great addition to a town if it made sense during the period.
