Hello :D

I bought for christmas with S@H a key-chain (Dark Maul) and I would like know if it is possible to separate the head, the chest and the legs. :D

An I wish you a merry christmas :D

It IS possible to cut the metal bar thingy, and remove the head and hat/wig. The torso, unfortunately, cannot be removed from the hips, although it is possible to remove the legs and/or the arms from the torso-hips combination.

I must remove the metal part with a grip ???
There is a stem which holds the head hung with the chest and which can be removed ???
I want to be sure to not damage unnecessarily the minifig :?

Hello!

It's probably easier (and not really that expensive) to buy an original Darth Maul minifig rather than modifying a keychain.
Maybe you like little challenges like customizing keychains, though. :-)

Bye

I hate to dig up such an old thread, but I have been attempting some keychain dissasembly, but it's not coming out so well, any ideas anyone? Helpful hints and pointers?

Much thanks in advance!

I was messing with my Majisto (he was already broken at the hips, so this was a neccessary customization) a while ago. I but off the metal between his hat and the chain (wire cutters) and the hat and head popped right off. The body was left with a rather unsightly screw sticking out, so I cut that off too (hacksaw) and sanded it down. Slap a head on him and he's as good as new (I need to find some putty for the hole in his hat).

Ah! I knew they were around here somewhere, but I couldn't find them, even using search (must be all that dag-gummed schoolwork catching up to me).

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction(s)!

I have the same problem, I am just now starting on a huge research paper. Each year just gets harder. :D
