Any tips on acquiring food for minifigs? Food, as in carrots, apples, bread, etc. - stuff you'd find in a medieval setting (I don't think popsicles and ice cream were invented yet).
There's nothing more boring/sad than a huge banquet table in a great hall with nothing but empty goblets...
This set http://guide.lugnet.com/set/5415 is great, but doesn't appear to be available on lego.com anymore. You might look for that one on e-bay or bricklink. Another set I got in part for the food was http://guide.lugnet.com/set/1254. I believe that's the one David meant. I see that one on e-bay every once in a while.

Believe it or not, the idea isn't all that far fetched. Ice cream has been enjoyed for at least a few hundred years, even though refridgeration wasn't invented until the 1870s. Roman Emperor Nero Claudius Caesar is said to have sent slaves to the mountains to bring snow and ice to cool and freeze the fruit drinks he was so fond of. Once you have the ice, all you need is salt, milk, sugar and flavorings.
"Always do what you want, and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." ~ Doctor Suess
Makes you wonder if those slaves made the ice yellow before bringing it to the emperor...
Anyhow, Ancient China also made use of Ice Cream around the same time as the Romans, if not earlier. Its something for your adventurer OE China minifigs something to carry than just the 5-bladed spear/halbeird.
