That's the best I could find. Did you mean a temporary fort in a hostile land, or a permanent fortress, like in Italy?

Wow, thats pretty good. Truth be told, I don't know too much about the Romans, but I am trying to learn, becuase I think a Roman fort would be an easy and cool LEGO project. I was looking for something with stone walls, sorta like in this pic: http://images.encarta.msn.com/xrefmedia ... 39167A.gif
Thanks for your help!

Re: Roman Forts
now i dont have floor plans but since a small child i was an avid lover of history and especially the romans there smaller forts which where more like camps consisted of a large fence on an earthen mound with towers on the corners the mediums would consist of a palisade with multiple towers usualy equiped with balistas or catapults and the largest where usually just a larger stone version of these
Re: Roman Forts
Whilst you could never use this as reference material, Asterix comics have heaps of stories where there's Roman camps involved. They're stereotypical wooden forts with towers and gates with tents arrayed neatly inside.
Keen to see anything that comes of this. I have had the same idea too and think it would be neat to see something like this.

Re: Roman Forts
Since this thread was started way back in 2005 and no one has posted in it since then, until yesterday, I highly doubt that this project is still underway. That and the fact that the original author hasn't logged onto the site since November of that year. Just saying.....

Re: Roman Forts
It happens to all of us. For a second, I was surprised that DragonMaster was back.
