I really dont think that would help ince TLC dont take advice from outsiders but we could all go in a protest march outside their main oficces in denmark :D

Im more optimistic!
I think they'll make it to the market before Christmas this year.....or maybe Lego doesn't want the Vikings to interfere with sells for other sets (KK2, Harry Potter) & are holding them off till next year?
O well, as long as I get them before the world ends!

I would like to try a top-secret break in mission at lego's main headquarters just to see what neat things lego has for the future....

Was this actually confirmed? I mean it seems highly unlikely after LEGO displayed the sets in Nuernberg just a week ago. Perhaps the representative at the 2005 Toy Fair was mis-informed.

Still, no sense in jumping to conclusions.

Later.

"No, that's not true. That's impossible!*"

I'm going to agree with B&W on this one. We've seen the toyfair pics, and catalogue scans I highly doubt they would just flat out pull the line, however if they did I can see a reason.

Just by looking at the poll hear, it is clear most AFOLs will be going for Vikings. And I'm sure many kids will choose that over KKII 2. So if KKII 2 is the only "castle" line this year, than it would do much better in sales. And if next year Viking is released (without KKII 2) competition, it would do better in sales as well.

I knew 2 castles lines in a year was too good to be ture. But I still hope that it is, becuase I want both!

But maybe a year to revamp the vikings would not be the worst thing ever. I mean it does need a lot of work, and maybe the time could be used to work on the beards and that empty shell they call a longoboat.

I really hope they don't pull it though,

Yeah, I hope that it's next year, with perfected sets -- bearded Vikings, the boats more filled out. It was a great line, but still a bit rough round the edges.

Hello!

The Viking sets probably just won't be released in the US .
European catalogues already announced the line to come out this fall, and I think they will hold on to their word.

(On the other hand, in 1985 there were some Space Light&Sound models announced, but they didn't come out before late 1986 or even early 1987....)

We'll see. Since we ain't blind.

LEGO Relationships

TO ALL

I Have from Oficial Sources that the Vikings will come out in 2005.

No need to discuss the release date anymore.....

The Viking sets are not at the New York Show, because Lego have chosen to Show off, other products. In these InterNet days, news and Pictures spread around the World, from Both Nüremberg and New York, so Lego does not have to show the same things twice..
And this is from where? Sounds like good news....
