KK2

Post by Aviah102 »

I want to make this topic open to discussion on the kk2 line. Does anyone buy a reasonable amount of products from it? I know I do. I would ofcoarse prefer older legos over this specific line, however, as TLC does not seem to be bringing any older legos back from "the good old days"(lol), i have basically gotten used to the new line (actually really only the new figures). If there are many people who purchase products from the kk2 line, how do you personally use them?

I buy KK2 quite a bit. I know it's not as good as classic castle, but I still like it for it's bright points. As for what I do with it, I use the various figs for MOCing, and I (usually) keep the structures intact.

Just look at all those KK2 style swords.

Does that answer you question?

And yes, I also use the minifigs, shields, some of the helmets, weapons, and parts.

7 Talonjay
6 Attack Towers (going to buy one more soon)
2 Vladek Encounter

...And soon the castle of Morcia, highly awaiting the new sets too. I love Shadow Knights, and some of the KK2 jellybean parts can be good. I need the scorpion fortress not only because of the shadow knights and THREE elite guards, more black castle pieces, banners, grey spears, rub n buff things, two unique tower shields etc etc, but also to get all the Jellybeans with their improved and better looking armors. My story is going to begin where the second part ends(the characters will be there, but play a very minor role) ;)

Wait unitl the sets go clearance in June. You will save a ton if you are looking to buy a lot of sets. Kmart already has most of the KK2 sets on clearance.

I have 11 KK2 sets. I got most of them on sale at Toys R Us. I might get some more.

I have 1 Talonjay + attack tower, and the Castle of Morcia. I'm highly awaiting the new sets.
I'm not a big fan of the "jelly beans" but I can use them, and I really like Vladek and the Shadow Knights.

I use many parts from the KK2 line (especially the minifigs) for my evil daemonic themed army.

Some of the "power ranger" armour can be quite useful as rare rune-enscribed armour.

Wow... did each of those swords come with a fig attached? It can't be....?

I'm a set collector, using each set in my story... so I have exactly one set of every one of the KK2 sets... I even found a somewhat plausible use for the joust, so all is well.

The 2nd (I a presume 3rd) series should be much better, and I am eagerly awaiting some of these sets to hit the shelves.

 You, sir, are a hero. Let us know what that use is! I imagine some sort of post-apocalyptic arena after horses have gone extinct....

Anyway, I have one of: Vladek Encounter, Attack Tower, Talonjay Caslte, and Castle of Morcia. I don't really like KK2 that much, but when Lego has nothing else in the line of Castle to offer, I have to take it. At least Vikings are coming soon....

Thanks for everyone who has responded and for those who still may. All of the input thusfar has really been quite interesting. Awhile ago when the line first came out i kept spliting Vladek encounter sets with a friend, and for paying a bit less i received the purplish knight and a "wonderfully unique" catapult (I would like to point out that I am being sarcastic when I talk about the catapult, to those of you who might not pick it up). Ever since i have been buying the sets to build a new army. Does anyone else get a lot of those types of sets? For now i have basically gotten used to the new guys and am pleased with their growing numbers. I hope the viking line is as good as everyone is making it sound (hopefully some good weaponry/non-megablockish).

P.S. If this reply sounds awkward at all it is because I am mentally drained from the new SAT's lol.

Of course! They're the perfect army builder. Too bad Lego hasn't done much with minifig packs lately :(

I bought exactly one Vladek Encounter, to see how the new shields and visors looked, and stuff like that. I'm waiting to see the new ones in the catalog before I make a decision to buy any of them.

EDIT: Free at last!

LOL! That was funny... yea, it took some imagination... and soon after the weirdo horses are used the whole kingdom is attacked and falls... so maybe they had it coming.

Anyway, you'll get a peek when I start taking pictures for the story I've written.

*excited teenage girl voice* Oh my god oh my god! A new story! Weee! :D

I think lego didnt want to make loads of money, I mean, why did they put an unique character in every set? Its like they are saying "buy one set that got all figs, and you dont have a large amount of useless clones". There is nothing said about the Rascus Clone Regiment nor the dreaded Baby Blue Rookie Clone Regiment (Jayko) :?
