Two Pirate MOCs

Post by lil Jon »

Ok, so I haven't really built anything in the castle theme in awhile. But I have built some pirate MOCs. Here are two that I'm pretty happy with.

The first one is just a little island that two pirates are surviving on. It has a little secret.
Here are some deep links I think are worth pointing out:

Heres the folder once its moderated:

The second one is a small fortress for pirates. I got the idea from two LEGO sets (I don't remember the numbers or names). My favorite part is the brick built bridge. I used to have the prefab. rope bridge and it was one of my favorate pieces but I seem to have lost it.

Cool Stuff!!! My favorite one is the second one. It reminds me of some of the old TLC sets. You should post these on PB. www.PirateBricks.com
Keep up the good work

lil Jon's pirates do, apparently  . Think of it as a trick to throw off other pirates, or something....

I don't know which one I like better! Both of them remind me of old sets, so they have that sentimental and nostalgic value, but they also have something else that just makes them shiny new.

Who buries it sideways? ahaha. Well, the island started to look funny if i built it up higher, and at the same time I wanted to have a treasure chest in there, so I just made it work. I guess the pirates are just a little careless. :?

I suppose it's possible... or maybe they just had too much rum? :P

Nice Work! May I suggest you post these in Lugnet.pirates... it does get some traffic!

I like the use of the kerchief on the pirate. Hadn't thought of that before.

The one is certainly reminiscent of "Forbidden Island" (set # 6270). Nice to see some new Pirate MOCs....

May I also suggest posting to http://www.piratebricks.com, if you haven't already....

Lil John, me and Norro have been admiring your creations at EuroBricks in this thread (if you want to check, but there's not much there yet!).

I must say I very much like your more "simple" designs as they're very reminiscent of the traditional Pirate sets. I think I know the names of the sets which you were inspired by...
