How many coins are in your hoards, and are there any pictures? I know there's a hoard on Brickshelf, is that one of yours? I'm trying to figure out how many coins I need for the size I'm looking for, and I haven't been able to match up numbers with sizes yet.

What tub is this? Do you know it's number?

I think it's the new 50th anniversary tubs LEGO is releasing. I remember seeing pics (toy fair?) and they have gold lids, there are also Duplo ones ! Not sure on numbers... maybe a bit of searching on brickset.

I am ashamed to say that the hoard has almost doubled since the photo. I got a great deal once of $0.18 for a four coin set and really went a little crazy.

The lowest I have every seen them is $0.15 if you buy in bulk. You will not beat the price anywhere and I have been buying them for years.

I think there were about 4500 in my hoard at the time of that photo. The pile is solid coins, no filler underneath, except for the swords, helmets, and chests that you see.

All the coins are broken off the sprue unlike earlier versions of the photo. I think that leaving the coins on the sprue makes a hoard look at least twice as large as just coins. But it just doesn't look quite as nice

I should gather all my treasure together to see how much I have. If you throw in all the jewels and other chrome and gold pieces you can make a mighty horde.

As to the bucket, I saw one at K-mart a few weeks ago for $19.99. It has 1000 bricks, so the price per piece is pretty poor... (try and say that three times fast )

I always broke my coins of the spruce but kept it as a gold bar. So I have several of them in my gold store.

My hoard is currently sitting in a plastic tub up on a shelf. I currently have about 100 Coin sprues with the coins still attatched and about 4000 loose coins. A little less than Aiden. I also have 250 gold bars and an assortment of over 1000 jewels. 10 of the gold Belville plates and an assortment of crown, gold dragon helms etc... Once I finally build a castle with a treasure room, it should look quite impressive. A decent looking hoard needs about 1000 coins. Before I had 1000, I was never happy with what I had. Of curse we are truly never happy with what we have.

This truely is not funny! I don't even have enough gold coins to fill 10 treasure chests. And you guys are unhappy with having 1000's of coins!
