I took the time to check out the link you offered, and I must say as long as the competition use cheese for wheels on their motor cycles, we have nothing to fear...

Looking at that site I was pretty surprised to see sets that were not actually LEGO knock-offs. Does Enlighten actually have some original designs? or are those knock-offs of MegaBlocks (or maybe that Korean clone brand that has military sets)?

It looks like they are copying everyone. Not just Lego, but other clone brands as well. The Korean Oxford brand has military sets and it looks like they too have been knocked by Enlighten.
Looks like the Chinese are taking on the Canadians (MegaBloks), Danish (Lego), Koreans (Oxford) and probably some other companies copying Lego as well.

Indeed. I've been trying to find a bunch of Imperial Guards minifigs, and the cheapest way to get a nice group (including the Admiral) is in [url=http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6263-1]6263 Imperial Outpost[/i]. I have an eBay watch for this set, and the last couple weeks my inbox has been exploding with fake ones from China. The seller even calls it "Imperial Outpost" and sells it in the LEGO category.wizardnoob28 wrote:be careful! some of these sets are selling on ebay!
Grrrrr!!!

Haha, you know a company's truly pathetic when they imitate the imitators.

Hmmm, I am a bit puzzled by your anger towards the enlighten company, as I am not at all. Let's consider the Chinese environment: the living standards hardly compare to the European, wages are very low for most people. Parents still want their children to enjoy their childhood, and therefore wish to buy them toys (such as constructor toys).
Lego in large shops is very expensive, with ridiculous money per brick ratio, unaffordable by the majority. Now, there comes along a Chinese company, which re-releases the Lego sets, modified for simpler production and slightly deteriorated quality of plastic and colouring. All this lowers the price, down to approximately 7 pounds for a large castle. Of course, this makes a very viable option for parents. The 'lower' quality hardly matters, and the Chinese children can enjoy Lego without paying mad prices! I think we should respect enlighten for the opportunity it provides to Chinese and other Asian people.
I personally quite like to buy these enlighten sets, as they fit with Lego perfectly, and the bricks are hardly distinguishable.

Remember that some of the fake-bricks are of such bad quality that some of the bricks are actually sharp and could injure a child.
