Jeff,
No need to ask for kind treatment, this thing rocks. You don't kid around, do you? The effect of those high walls has to be very daunting to attacking armies--especially apparent from the figs-eye-view photo. I like the guys waiting to dump hot coals on attackers and the way you topped the battlements with tiles, especially.

great great wall thingie. If i had to say how great it was in one sentance i would say.....It is so great it is like winning the lottery, but having a tax duductibul of four-thousand dollars, then buying a great big house in france, buying one last lottery ticket and being one number away from winning.

Thanks guys! Being my 1st. build from a plan(well, in my head),
I was a little nervous showing it off. These are
just some of the outer walls anyway. I still need to make an
inner Keep also. I can't wait!
I'll have to replace that fuzzy "corner tower" pic. Bugger!
And everyone thought I was a Space/SW kinda guy...HAH!
hip, hip...CASTLE!

Nice work Jeff.
The staggering height and the power suggested in those walls would dishearten many a seige army. It is fortunate that a castle built directly on baseplate is not vulnerable to sappers . The 8 wide walls are great, this is the thickness I use as well, too bad my walls are mostly wall panels.
All you guys with your tons of light gray brick must be living somewhere close to a pick a brick. I feel a slight bit of jealousy when I see gray brick in large volumes. I recently bought 15 bags of 2 x 4 from s@h and that was nowhere close to what is needed for a decent sized castle. Can't wait to see how it looks with a keep.

After a long absence, I have returned. I can't wait to start building again.

Thanks Will. Yeah, those 1x2's are something aren't they?
Trust me, I know how you feel. I've been buying every one
I can find on BL, and you see what I made from them.
I probably have about 400+ left. Easily not enough.
Oh, I'm not really sure if I have a "pick a brick" around me. I
should check though, huh?
Thanks again, and may the mighty walls prevail!

Troy - Thanks. Hey , it's not about winning really. I just
wanted to scale it more appropriately.
Siege towers will definitely have to be taller for this!
DM - I used the 1x2's for looks of course! I wanted to build
with the brick, not wall pieces, for more realism.
Many BL shops love me, and will continue to.
Mr. D - Thanks. I'm especially proud of that door, or maybe
"shutter". It was a last minute idea that turned out well.
