I also like this set. I have been a sucker for small catapults (that aren't on horses) since the 80's idea books http://www.bricksonthebrain.com/instruc ... linkID=180
It seems to be a good value for a $1 set. As many have noted, a figure to operate the catapult would have been great. I would have paid $2 to get it with a siege worker. The new wheels are a nice solution for smaller carts.
Note: The set review selection is pretty random. I wanted to choose a smaller set and one of my photographers was bothering me to edit more kk2 sets, so I chose this catapult. There are so many small sets that we need to review 1-2 a month just to get through them.

Meh. Another little catapult thingy. I'll admit that I am surprised at it's lack of dudes. Still, considering where it came, it's not too surprising.
Not much more to say than that. The wheels are a different idea, and possibly usable, but I have none of them, so we'll see. The idea of a crank is, quite honestly, astounding to me. That TLC would actually put a historical thing on something shows that there still is hope for them.

Hmmmm, haven't seen this one before. Having the horse armor is useful, the wheels look different, and I like the crank. If I could find it cheap enough some where.....

Terrible, little nose-bleed catapult for Castle sieges, however it is a very good little assortment of parts for the rest of your creations. For $1 each they were not so good in ones or twos, but given that here where I live in TN/USA the Walmart stores put them out at that $1 price on shelf clip-strips at 12 per store all in the same day I was able to multiply the number. Low price, high repetition of parts makes wonderful sense, and I stopped at a lot of stores that day so was able to get enough to make them worthwhile.
Set design 2/10
Parts pack 9/10
Best part=cart/cannon wheels
Worst part=baby blue horse armor (because it's baby blue)

I don't remember seeing this set or if I did I was so turned off by the other KK2 stuff I ignored it. It would have been good to pick up one or two just for parts. Time has made me a little kinder towards KK2 stuff but they should have had a figure with this set.

I got three or four of these last year from the Jambalaya, I think they may actually have been yours Josh.JoshWedin wrote:I have bought 7 of them!
I like the wheels, I still do- the structure/build itself is pretty pointless, but there's a lot of good pieces in the bag.

Explain why it's outdated? Your comment made me quite curious.

That about sums it up.
I like LEGO Stuff.
